I saw it as Koeman trying to say that he harries and annoys the defenders for the whole 90 minutes.

Fantastic result. I know we've been spoilt in the last 6 games but it would be nice not to have fantastic form ruined by a break for once. We always seem to go on a poor run of results after a few weeks without a match having previously been in great form. Frustrating.

I'm pretty sure that's what he meant, that's what I took from it too. I bet defenders hate playing against him.

I actually think it's a good thing. Austin may be ready to start after this break.

Back from my day trip to South Wales and witnessing my first away goal in four away games this season - Thanks Shane.

Sure it's all been mentioned, but some observations and opinions.

Pelle was bad. Now we have options there is no excuse for leaving him on the pitch anymore when he is not playing well. We couldn't get hold of possession and his poor hold up play was the chief reason.

Davis at RWB? Not all experiments pay off Ron....The team and Davis looked a lot better when he moved back into midfield.

Solid again, Sigurdsson volley the only major chance for Swansea. They looked pretty toothless going forward and the main reason for their current league position.

    Cork had a good game

VVD star man, wins everything in the air and Fonte covered and organised superbly.
Apart from Graziano, everyone gave solid performances.

Hopefully. I've thought that it'll be good for the players to have a rest every time but it's never seemed to do us any good.

Great result. For me the experiment with Davis as WB, worked, but only because we didn't concede. Don't want to see it again though.
He was never going to get as far forward as Cedric normally does, and he needed someone ahead of him, to get to the touchline so he could pass down the side.
This is an area where JWP needs to improve - he seldom goes wide, yet I don't understand why not (can remember him doing it twice, today, to get crosses in - one we scored from and one Romeu could have scored from).
Pelle was poor and his inclusion made us too predictable, when going forward.
Not sure if there was a foul, for the disallowed goal, or if Fabianski's momentum took him into Fonte, causing him to spill the ball.

Watching match choice we looked solid at the back, broached a couple of times and against a team with any goal threat we could have been punished. Classie and Romeu look great. Unsure of Davis at wingback, wonder why Cedric didn't start? And why yoshi didn't start at CB? Being told to play target?!

Shane deserves the goal, hope he gets more. He keeps his place for sure. Think he and Austin could work well together. Imagine a front 3 of long Austin and mane?!

BIB - because Targett has been outstanding in this new formation and deserves to start. Agree with everything else though!

Agree he has been good, not seen enough of match today to judge though. The only reason I say that is Bertrand at wingback and yoshi at CB seems the more natural line up. Can't argue with Koeman though, not just winning matches but keeping clean sheets!

Exciting times, if Leicester can win the title can we finish 5th?!

Apparently he was our fastest average speed player today according to the stats!

Yes, I think that describes our football: economical and effective. Not always the best to watch but definitely effective. Completely stifled the Swansea midfield today by packing the team with midfielders e.g. instead of Soares.

Wow, been out all day away from media.

Just getting caught up with results, what a day and another great result. Can't wait to see the winning goal on tv. It's not every day a linesman scores.

What has happened to my Southampton, my Southampton who had the patience to wait until the last game of the season to stay up.

Today, we have reached 40 points and safety. What, we have only played 26 games, we are not even halfway through February FFS.

    Ah well, nice one lads.

Said on MOTD that we are efficient. That means we are not as exciting as when we were the Red Arrows, but it will do for now. Another boring 3 points every weekend will do for me.

Well as we saw with Davis, there was no way he would be able to beat the left back for pace and cross. Which is what Cedric offered as soon as he came on, JWP would be in the same boat. Much better playing as a centre midfielder who drifts wide

Yeah, looking back I don't see what we got by putting Davis to play as a wing back, Cedric would've been a much better choice.

And really JWP has to play. He has his flaws, but against Wba and Swansea he was a matchwinner for us.
