Just a note to remind people to who voted for the tour t-shirts. Please check the thread and choose which style you like. I dont want to have to create a thread to vote for them if i dont have to lol.

I probably wouldn't have been as harsh if it had been at any of the other Test grounds but when you're representing your country on your clubs home ground, stupid mistakes like diving over the ball and dropping "dollies" at slip (I don't care what the experts say, a Middlesex player playing Test cricket at Lord's should know about the ball dipping behind the stumps and should allow for it if in the slips). I'd be slating Steve Finn if he'd been in the team and played poorly IMO and that's despite having been to the same school as him, although I'd left before he started.

Hope so, as I always enjoy watching Morgs bat when he's in form and I think he has the potential to be as good for England in the field as Collingwood was. My worry for Strauss is that he hasn't been getting the runs in Tests all season - after this Test he has 81 runs in 6 innings and 54 of those came in this match. It was made more noticable in this game as Alistair Cook didn't continue his run of form.

A bit like the Great Millenium Debate - is it or isn't it! There is a train of thought which says that it's not the 2000th, it's only the 1999th. Included in the 2000 is a match that took place in October 2005 between Australia and a World XI that was incorrectly called a Test - the official definition being a match between 'member countries of the ICC'.

The pedant in me had to get that point out. :)

BB, being even more pedantic, that definition should be between 'full member countries of the ICC' otherwise Associates and Affiliates e.g. Scotland, Ireland and Netherlands (taking it to the nth degree, even Jersey, France, Iceland and Norway!) could play each other in 5 day games and call those Test matches.

Just been looking at the number of threads and posts of the Championship sides on this site. Taking the three most active clubs you come up with a strange result.

Hull have an average of 19 posts per thread.
Southampton have an average of 20 posts per thread.
Watford have an average of 65 posts per thread.

Even if you take the Hornets Nest out of the equation Watford still have 45 posts per thread.

Does this show that the threads on here are more worthy of comment than some other places?

Good point OFH. But I still miss the "original and best" BBC 606, because it was the place to go for every clubs' viewpoints.

If I want to see what Brentford fans are thinking ....... where do I go? And when I wanted to see what AFC fans were thinking ...... That is a huge problem for me. It is a bit like boxing in a way, but I just wish people could unite under 1 banner.

By the way Stephen Lennon is just appearing on Newsnight - probably to say that they have nothing to do with this.

What the news channels are saying of course is these people post messages on websites using pseudonyms ..... mmm my real name is probably nor Mr Elixir!!! LOL

I think that we have seen happen the thing that we feared. Different clubs fans found sites that they liked and together migrated to that one. It is a shame that if you want to see about people views from some clubs you have no idea where they are now.
