Right, I was going to write a review, but I'm going to be honest. I got totally ****ed up on good whiskey, and completely skipped my duties. I got no idea who we're playing tomorrow. I've lost a bit of passion. So imagine this is a good review, with a team selection, odds and stuff, whilst I sink myself another whiskey. I'm going to go to the strip club before I check myself into rehab!
Waiting to fly out of Bulgaria. We're playing Cardiff City today. The rumours are our new signings (Fanni and Songoyo) are still not up to match speed, which suggests another scouting fiasco. Igor may be back, Poyet, who knows? Anyway, 5pm round the back of the west, and sing a song on my behalf too!!
Rehab wouldn't take me, they say I'm too "f****ed up and beyond help!" Guess it's all these years following Charlton. When we signed Sanogo and Fanni, I was only impressed about the how many sordid jokes I can make about the female anatomy. Also, watched a movie with Morgan Freemam. Don't you think he'd make a good stadium announcer? Quite majestic in his pronunciation
I am just surprised that Duchatelet's interview didn't have another Winehouse song as an accompaniment - You Know Im No Good
Does anyone think we will get anything today? Sad state of affairs when it's another match day and I'm heading in the complete opposite direction to tooting. Yesterday was a shambles for the club. RD - "we'll have to get to know each other". Travels back to Belgium to "watch the live feed".
And CARD's big surprise is Pinocchio day. Good luck to you guys. I'm glad I'll be able to look back and know I avoided this. 2000 Pinocchio masks to be worn at the protest. Good. Luck.
I'm missing today; I'm choosing work and watching the snooker instead. I still feel a bit disappointed to miss it - there's still that 'what if?' thought in my head - but after last week's misplaced optimism I'm fairly sure that come 3.15, when I'm warm and calm, I won't be regretting my choice.
It hurts every Saturday - but I'm 100% not renewing next season and sent back this seasons ticket (still no response, will remind them they are legally obliged to on Monday). I hope we win today - but apparently all new signings are missing out again. All relies on if they aren't wise enough to double up on lookman. 0-2
0-0 FT. There's stuff to discuss, but on another rotten saturday, just a quick one for JBG from me. If you want to stare out the fans with your hands on your hips when a chant goes against one of our players, a couple of things to learn. The players have had some luck this season that a lot of your pathetic performances have been hidden by the useless management. Don't imagine you can hide behind KM's incompetence forever. You personally have turned in some of the laziest games we've seen as a fan base. We've tried to attack the regime, not the team, but don't take the pi$$. We've seen how worried you are about relegation. A lot of clubs would have turned on the useless players long ago. We're bottom you miserable excuse for a professional. The head shaking routine suggests you maybe think that's down to the fans. It isn't. That's the players and the board. Get a grip. Jacko apologised after Huddersfield. I have'nt heard jack s#1t from you. Now get your thumb out of your a$$ and earn your pay cheques.
On the match itself - we were poor for 80 min and got a bit better when Sanogo and Poyet came on. Reza was abysmal today, it ws like playing with 10 men. We took 39 min to have a shot at goal at home in a must win game- something is surely wrong there? Cardiff hit the post and bar and a better side would have beaten us. I can't really see where this team goes from here - it looks like a clapped out Morris Minor stuck on the hard shoulder in a Grand Prix. Certainly Sanogo and Poyet must start at Fulham next week. Birds!t was back to his worst today, and jpg simply did not put any effort in again. With a daunting run in of fixtures, we look doomed TBH. God Help this club in League One next season - I never expected to see the Selhurst era again, but we are about to see something very, very similar.
I'm not sure how Riga can come out and say we deserved 3 points? A draw was probably fair. Ba and Bergdich are so awful, I don't understand how they keep getting matches, Harriott nowhere to be seen again and our bench had 2 players who could have some attacking threat and the rest all defensive. Surely Harriott would have to be on the bench. If one of Jackson or Cousins is not fit to play next week and Ba comes in over Poyet we will be doomed. Makienok had a good game as did Henderson, rest were average or did what was expected minus, Reza and Bergdich. How many transfer windows have we had to address the lack of attacking threat in the squad and just buy any attacking midfielder or a right midfielder, of all our CM's only Jackson has a clue about attacking but he is more a box to box player. Also, every single winger in the squad is left footed, it's just so easy to deal with.
That has got to be it for the central midfield combo of Jackson and Cousins. It has failed 100 times. They make Racon and Semedo look like Iniesta and Xavi.
It's the lack of quality. Jacko's legs have gone, Bergdich has no positives, Reza can't score, Big Mak can't judge the flight of a ball, JBG is easily neutralised by defenders who keep him on his right peg. Even when he was in a position to get it to the byline and cross with his left, he bottled it and passed backwards to Fox. Sanogo looks like he can play, let's hope he wants to.
