So Ron has spoken to Victor about his actions, but has not punished him in any other way. I suppose he accepts his intention was to get the ball and the 5 match ban is punishment enough. Victor has to learn to engage his brain more....not to think he has to get the ball back when there is no danger and there are other defenders around. Whether you can teach that sort of discipline is yet to be seen.

Echo article talking about Ronald's comments re Clasie from yesterday's press conference. I liked the sound of it at the time...Koeman thinks that Clasie isn't the finished article and will be better in his second season at Saints. Ron keeps telling us that players take time to settle into another country, especially in a league as competitive as the EPL, but do we listen? Another reason not to go for short contracts....don't want to break them in, then lose them.

Swansea haven't lost in 4 games...so will not be a pushover. I suspect if we played them 5 times in our present form, we would win 4/5 games, but this match could go either way unless we are at our best. Don't want another close game...2-3 early goals would do a treat. I shall e-mail Ronald and let him know the new plan.

 

How about comedic actor Terry Thomas? 99% of people wrote it as I've just done, but all the time it was Terry-Thomas. I think that's unique. Must have been a stage name.

I hold my hand up....I thought our new buys weren't overly impressive, but are now settling in. It is possible that Koeman may know a bit about football and what suits Saints.

Looking forward to this one - Swans need points so will come out to play; could make for a good game. Hopefully we can score a couple early to ease the pressure - but then we just don't like doing things the easy way
