I remember that I was 'in love' with Dana (I know) when I was about that age (and others, like Olivia Neutron Bomb ) and I was really upset when I heard that she'd married someone else . . . . the slag

 

I can't even begin to think what it is like for her or her family. I'm guessing if she was a Sunderland fan then so are her family. It's not just abuse, but it's abuse from people who call themselves (they're not in reality) fans of the club you identify with, and people you had previously thought of as people who stood alongside uou - albeit in the artificial arena of football. Every club has idiots who are an embarrassment to be associated with. I hope anyone who posted that abuse is dealt with as strongly as possible.

I'm not defending anyone who asserted that she was a slag. I appreciate that I am not normally on this board as often as I have been the last few days, but all I saw on here was people discussing what might have happened and speculating. If it was taken as fact without any reasonable grounds then that is a different matter altogether.

 

Plenty jumped the gun. Not sure how much of it was on here but it was ****ing everywhere. Pretty grim.
