Not to worry. Give it a few years and the entire England team will be made up of Spurs players. They can just hold these gatherings at Hotspur Way to save on petrol.

While this is OT, I can’t help feeling overjoyed at the prospect of the Arsenal Leicester game earlier in the morning, the first and only game that I will be pleased with any outcome. Arsenal losing is always great. I hope they score 11 own goals, tbh. On the other hand, an Arsenal win means we can’t lose ground to the top, and could pick up ground. A draw means we can’t lose more than one point to either Arsenal or Leicester, and could pick up two on both.

Pellegrini announces that Kompany is fit to play. I'd rather he didn't, but no way he can be match fit.

Also Silva is fit. So Silva, Toure Sterling and Arguero in forward positions. Fernando and Fernandinho behind. Zabaleta, Otamendi Kompany Kolarov in defence. If we can stop the supply to Aguero, I would make us favourites?

I can't see Kompany doing a 90 minute stint. He might even start on the bench. Toure, similarly never seems to last more than 60 mins nowadays.

He might have to as they are missing DeBruyne, Navas, Nasri, Bony and Delph. Who else is there?

True! I hope he does. He just can't seem to last for 90 mins anymore

Shame for us about kompany...he is great at organising them and is a king of talisman for them.
Would love us to win but...we are spurs and I am a miserable git so can not believe we'll get anything out of the match.

According to the Standard, this is the combined Spurs/City XI: Hart; Zabaleta, Alderweireld, Wimmer, Rose; Dembele, Toure; Sterling, Alli, Eriksen; Aguero

I'll let everyone else dismantle that...

Kompany's played 54 minutes of minor level football in months. I don't see him handling pacy runs from our forwards very well. They'll be looking to him to lead them. It's an awful lot to ask given his fitness levels and injury history. We have every chance in this game. They need a result which means they are going to have to come out and play and that suits us.

“I want them to play like lions, this is what all managers want and expect from their players.” M. Pochettino said.

    1. Kompany might make the difference, if he does however don't expect the pundits to notice. Even though they have previously noticed how much better the Citeh defence is with Kompany than without, you can be sure they won't mention that Leicester played Citeh without Kompany when we play them with him.
    2. No idea how I got numbered bullet points. I accidentally pressed a key combination and there you are!

Was reading their match thread for the game and they are kind of expecting a pummeling. Even with Kompany and Silva back. They think it will work against them because the former is not match ready and the latter is out of form. They are unhappy with Yaya starting, believing that Dembele will murder him in the middle, but have no choice due to a depleted squad.

Well maybe one day they might get bought by an oil sheik and all these problems will get solved, until then, tough ****.

I think tomorrow depends on how much we want it and to be getting told to play like lions sounds just right. I hope we smash them.

Certainly Citeh haven't been playing well. Don't forget that they should probably have lost against Sunderland a couple of games ago.

Can we win this? Are we really in second place?

Did I get run over by a bus or was it a heart attack?

Could be either. Have you woken up recently with "Life On Mars" playing somewhere in the background?

For some reason the BBC didn't like my pitch for the 90s follow-up...
