Cheri instead of Ale from the team that started Saturday would leave us with only Luongo in our midfield with half an eye on defending, poor bloke. We'd get hammered.
Naaaaaa mate don't see it . He wouldn't have single handedly turn that bag of **** around . The players have no respect for the fans . Effort level was zero . Scott Parker and Jamie Ohara are two of the slowest midfielders in the country , fulhams record has been terrible yet they stuff us with absolute ease . Dream on if you think a has been sick note would have stopped that . Fuming at what I saw . So disappointed
I think Ale would have got us passing the ball around from the start not from when Nesser come on. That would at least have helped, as long as he didn't pass it around as he did in that autumn game at Fulham. He's a good player but he was awful that day.
I'm not saying he'd have single-handedly done anything. We all know he's not going to smash one in from 30 yards or beat ten men and chip the keeper. He makes the other players look better. He gives an option to pass the ball and recycles it. He manages the tempo of the game like a Championship version of a Pirlo or Xavi.
Well Jimbo, After yesterday, if you still can't see what Ale Faurlin gives to this side you never will! Just compare the points % we have won when Faurlin has been playing to the % when hae hasn't been. Perhaps that is just co-incidence though! There have been many players in the past who I have not particulary rated, until I have seen their team play without them. If nothing else, consider this before making further comment.
I sort of agree with that when Ale is having a decent game as he usually does. But remember Fulham away earlier this season, his contribution then was a big reason we lost.
Anyone can have a bad game. Our points per game with him in the side is much higher than without him this season.
We seem to be a better team with him in the side than without...... Still seems a strange decision to send Doughty out on loan....
I cling to the hope that it is with a view to getting him some experience before he becomes a significant squad member next season. He seems to be the only midfielder we have who is well suited to a 4-4-2
But unnecessary. The point still stands though. We tend to play much better and get more points when Faurlin plays.
Faulins best days are long gone we need to look past this current crop of wasters . He would never have changed the Fulham game the way we were set up any way .
