He'd be a great addition and his influence could be enormous. I could see him captaining the side as a centre back, taking Colo's place. A local lad who knows the club and city, and who has the experience and gravitas to make a difference on and off the pitch.
He's past his best, but let's face it, his best was pretty damn special. He's still a good player and his influence and experience in the dressing room would only be beneficial. Go for it.
Absolutley class player. Hes had a couple of knocks at key points in his career otherwise he could have been pulling the strings in any side in the world quite easily. I'd take him if the chance came regardless just to have him around the team.
He is top class and very underrated - no chance of him coming - I'd snap their hand off. He is still as good as those they have. Bad season by their high standards but still way beyond what we are doing these days. He walks into their team so it is a no brainer. Just a shame it's just paper ****e
Top class player, lost his pace but his experience in the Championship would be invaluable for the likes of Shelvey. Will we get him....no chance if the current board are in charge as we'll end up with some league 1 players who 'can make it' in the Championship as they'll 'fit the blueprint'!!!
