    I supped a few in the Eagle and Child over 40 years ago! But I never really got the taste for Bents but I do remeber their 'house' scotch called Bentox - that was rough!

    My 'local' in the 60s was The Heath. Tried to find it on my last trip home with my son as I promised him a session there - the buggers have knocked it down to build houses:sad:

    Ok,I'll compromise,Pear "beer" it is as long as i dont have to drink anything bearing the name of the woman that destroyed the city of Liverpool economically in the 80's.

    The last time I was in England I was on Blackthorn and Strongbow.A little different to Bulmers aka Magners but nice though.
    When I was in Liverpool there was specials on blue wkd 4 bottles for £5 and I couldn't get drunk on it.Another time I was in Glasgow for the weekend and there was specials on shorts,and it was £2 for a red bull and vodka and £3 for a double.There was four of us and it was £8 for a round,****ing brilliant.

    Some of the pubs in town charge London prices,but you pays your money and makes your choice.

    The Barras in Glasgow is sound but i stick to the bottled beer when im there.

    I didn't go into that mini-debate to start an argument though it developed that way. I was actually trying to deliver a word of caution based upon our experience.

    As for the use of the term deluded then you only have to look at previous threads on this board - let alone the old 606 - to see that it has been liberally used about Liverpool supporters. You may even have used it yourself. So to complain about using the term is a bit rich.

    The Heath Hotel was in a strange little corner where Allerton and Woolton come together.

    I've been living in Somerset (when in the UK) for the last 25 years.

    I'm not complaining about the use if the term at all. I'm simply saying it's not deluded in my opinion. Use the term whenever you want for me boss.

    What on earth is this all based on?????

    I will admit he "seems" like a cracking player, but he is not proven in a world class league as of yet!!!!


    His record in holland was superb, but before I will agree on him being the best striker lol I will actually have to see him actually play firstly, some more games and actually score more than 4 goals

    just wish there was a"sh" on the cisse but close enough i guess. thought about doing one of these for my fantasy name but thought everyone was going with their not 606 name, doh!
