What a **** way to screw up your career. But I'm sure he's still got a shed load of money and assets so he'll end up fine, even if he ends up with a bit of bird.
I suppose his soon to be ex wife will have a hell of a claim on his assets and his future earnings will be non existent

Don't know if there'll be a bit of bird, but there'll be a lot of c0ck. I doubt he'll be fine after that.
Not that it excuses him in any way but he appears to have pleaded guilty to the grooming charge and one count of sexual activity (doesn't have to be intercourse) and not guilty to two other sexual activity charges. So my assumption is that he will be denying having sex with her whilst admitting to a lesser sexual activity count (maybe kissing, or touching?) which would if I've read correctly result in less of a custodial sentence, however either way he has admitted grooming and will be on the sex offenders register.
Yeah there is no excuse for his behaviour. Just thought I'd put the facts into the thread as posters were going on about him having sex with somene underage which is so far not proven and what with all the laws about online posting these days thought it was best to throw in the current facts.
The two cases are different though. As far as I can make out, and I may be wrong, it breaks down as: Evans was charged and found guilty of rape and lost his club and career as a result. Johnson engaged in apparently consensual sexual activities with a minor. Looks like he initially had leeway as he claimed to have met her in a nightclub/she looked older/she was happy + told her mates. Course, the fact he now admits to grooming implies he knew her age beforehand and, rightly, damns him. It's the charge or rape that had people backpeddling from Evans. I can't remember if Evans lost his club the second the charges came to light or if it was only after her was found guilty. I'm of the opinion that it should be innocent until proven guilty so wouldn't have had any problems with him playing. Once found guilty I have no issue with him losing his role in football. IMO it's a priviledged position to have and whether people agree or not you're a role model. So, in much the same way a nonce can't work with kids after serving their time I have no problem with something similar applying to public careers like this. Have Sunderland said anything yet about Johnson? I'd be stunned if he played for them again.
looking at the 'wag' that accompanied him at the court hearings, you have to ask why he did it. daft sod-a waste of a talent
I highly doubt he will play in the uk again. Depending on what sort of time he does he may be done as a footballer anyway. He might manage to find a foreign club willing to take him on if he isn't too past it by then.
F*ck a duck. Take a look at Josh Halliday's feed on twitter. He's in court as the case is going on. Johnson isn't coming across well.
Some of the things posted were shocking if true - makes you wonder how he could even think to deny any of the charges in the 1st place. Grooming isn't the word!
