Ben Alnwick and Shaque Coulthirst start for Posh with Souleymayne Coulibaly on the bench. Come On You Ex Spurs.
It must be so depressing supporting west brom, they have a really poor squad, they don't play good football, they have no decent young players and to top it off there manager is Tony pulis
They haven't been the same since Berahino threw his toys out of the pram. I thought Rondon would be a perfect PL-type striker, especially given the system Pulis likes to use. But he's been an unmitigated and expensive flop so with these factors combined they've struggled badly to get goals. Only Villa have scored less this season.
Will we see Ben Alnwick the hero? Can't recall us ever describing him as such, but would be nice to see.
you can see why he wants to leave, Pulis never shuts up on the sideline Saido Saido Saido - pass..take him on, Saido, Saido
alnwick kept diving the wrong way......in hope........and you just knew sammuelson would miss his penalty after such a great performance. WBA for the cup? They can't play any worse.....
Not to forget Lee Angol who was on our books for a period. Apart from taking a poor penalty last night, it seems he's been doing really well since leaving us according to Wiki's stats. 30 in 58 for Boreham Wood, 12 in 19 for Luton and 7 in 14 for Peterborough.
The Celtic player missed a golden opportunity to hurl himself to the ground when the Valencia player was walking away.
Can someone who has a good understanding of sports economics please explain how United are poised to become the first team to earn over £500m in annual revenue? If their global legions of plastics haven't abandoned them until now, perhaps they aren't as plastic as we first assumed...
Sponsorship deals, TV revenue, tourists and a lot of this sort of stuff is a bit out of date, so the impact of their relatively poor results hasn't kicked in yet. Either that or most of their fans have fallen into a coma from van Gaal's football and can't stop their subscriptions or season tickets.
The most bizarre part is that the bulk of this profit seems to be coming from sponsorship deals - the most notable of which is the £750m one with Adidas. But ultimately, corporate sponsors will only back a project where they see profit. United have been in the doldrums for 3 years now and show no signs of emerging anytime soon. Their squad is frankly laughably bad and whoever takes over from LVG in the summer has the uneviable task of shifting loads of deadwood while adding a bunch of new players all at once...and we know better than most how that usually works out. I can't see them doing much next year, perhaps the year after things will start turning around for them. By which time the mighty Spurs juggernaut will have comfortably defended back to back titles
After 2 years Mourinho will be building up to go nuclear again after having played 2 years of desperately boring, negative football; spitting venom and other fluids at Pep and City; bullying club staff, etc, etc. Whatever he might bring,is it going to be worth it? I'd rather be relegated than have him manage Spurs.
I think if there is any club in the world where Mourhino could get away with remorseless bullying, it's at United. That club, it's board, staff, and players, put up with it for years under Fergie, and probably still do. The Arsey One would fit right in, and probably be a romping success!
