Great to see Sturridge on the pitch tonight. Whatever has or hasn't happened off the pitch, I think we can all agree that a fit Sturridge playing well for Liverpool is the best for both parties.
Made a big different in our play. We've missed that player that can make something happen and gives the opposition something to be concerned about. Just a shame it won't be long before he's injured again.
I don't think he will be injured for a while now. I'm more concerned that he will leave. Feels like sterling part 2.
Looked good tonight. Didin't score any but I'd take a Sturridge who takes a couple of games to start scoring again but stays fit long term over a Stirridge who comes in scores two in one game but gets all ****ed up again and misses the rest of the season
If he leaves he's the ultimate ****ing knob rash, the Dumber to Sterling's Dumb If we sell him however it's totes legit
Hard to call lad, hard to call. Gut says no but nothing would surprise me Certainly if he gets 'injured' again in one of the upcoming games then we've got to shift the ****er on but his value will drop with that injury, I mean what's he currently worth to a team, £25mill, a bit more a bit less, another lay-off and you're taking maybe 10 off that ?? If he can stay fit now till season's end it's less likely / notgonnahappen Also depends on Klopp's thoughts, whether he rates the ****
Sturridge back in the team and he didn't look out of place. Hopefully this is the end of his injury worries - if so, Klopp handled it perfectly.
we will see. i don't expect him to start v villa, he played too long last night really. I think coutinho will start v villa with firmino and lallana. I think milner will move back in midifled
I doubt it's the end of his injury worries - he's had them all his career, so I doubt that they're suddenly going to stop. But if it means he has smaller injuries where he's out for six weeks rather than most of the season, then that's much better. In terms of handling it perfectly - not sure to be honest. If you means in terms of the injury itself, then if it works, then yes, but it's far too early to say that. In General terms I think Klopp may have handled it better - there's been all sorts of speculation going on, which were partly (but by no means only) due to how Klopp dealt with Sturridge questions at press conferences. That's not necessarily to say he handled it poorly, but probably not perfectly either.
Indeed, I can't see him starting a game for quite a couple of weeks to be honest. I think they'll take it slowly.
I don't see him leaving purely because no one will take the gamble unless he accepts pay-as-you-play which he won't
People thinking Studge's injury concerns are a thing of the past (after one outing or not) are very naive. He's been plagued with injuries throughout his career. The new regime might be able to deal with the issue better than the old lot did, but it's better diagnoses and recovery, it's not a prevention!
I didn't mean in terms of not being injured at all, but I do feel he can get a run of games and be fine. I think the hip op will have sorted the reason why he kept getting injured before. I think the reasons for all the injuries since has been down to his joints and muscles not being used for so long after the op.
