I didn't sing for Johnson, so wouldn't sing for Matthews or anybody else. The reason I wouldn't sing for them is because of the charge, not because of who they are. You have to look at this from both sides. Imagine you were AJ, done nothing wrong and everybody give you the cold shoulder and it all turned out to be nonsense. They wouldn't be very good 'supporters' then would they. At the end of the day nobody has sung for somebody convicted of any charges. People were going about things as normal until the law ruled otherwise. Hindsight must be fabulous for a low life tosser, like yourself.
A lot of people seem to be having difficulty with the concept of innocent until proven guilty. It doesn't mean sort of pretend they're innocent but really you're sure they're not and you'd stick the knife in as soon as possible, it means work on the assumption they are completely innocent until the law says that they are not. Now Johnson has admitted guilt it's an entirely different scenario and we are all treating it as such.
Now that it's clear that Johnson has been "noncing about", no-one will be singing his name. You & some others don't get it, there are these things called T-R-I-A-L-S in England that decide if someone is guilty or not. Otherwise anyone could accuse anyone of anything. What do you mean by "support"? No-one sang about the case. No-one said he was innocent. The song is about him scoring against Newcastle.
That`s the only thing the supporters can be accused of. Giving him the benefit of the doubt and believing his lies. Anything else regarding any other player is pure conjecture.
The fact is this... Many people are on here saying how you lot should be ashamed of your support. Not once to my knowledge were any of these people on here to tell you that same piece of information before the revelations from today. Quite simply because nobody knew what the **** he'd done. The one song I have heard either in person at the ground, or on dodgy feeds, and which I joined in with, was about him scoring against the Mags and was totally unconnected to the court case. No-one either supported him or insulted him because no-one knew if he was guilty - until today.

Please refer yourself to one of the many posts explaining what innocent until proven guilty means, then apply a bit of common sense if you can manage that.
ACTJ, I don't agree with your line of reasoning, but you seem a reasonable poster saying what you think, rather than the scum we had on today who just wanted to have a go at SAFC and our fans, and one of whom came out with vilest abuse I've seen on these boards. So, right, let's do it vice versa. Jamie Vardy is arrested on suspicion of a sexual offence. Sadly, non unknown for footballers. (BTW, I know this is an extreme example, Vardy is a far better player, and a far better person (as we now know) than Johnson. And Leicester are a far better team). It turns out he is accused of shagging a 15-year-old. He denies it completely, the whole lot. Says its bollocks. No-one, apart from Vardy, the girl, and the investigators (partly) know what went on. There are theories that it could be a lass with huge problems who had invented the whole thing. Some guess that he may have got off with a girl in a night-club who looked 18, and had lied her way in on that basis, but who was really 15. And the worst case scenario was that he was a scum nonce who had groomed the girl, knowing her age full well, and then shagged her. What should Leicester do? Say Leicester decide to play him, and he scores, should your fans cheer or not, and chant his name, or not? Looking forward to your reply. Innocent until proven guilty. If guilty, throw the key away.
If someone accuses my friend of something , I will support my friend .until the accusation is proven to be correct , If proven correct , depending on the seriousness of the accusation , he will or won't be my friend after but until .....
