    Hernandez has proven what exactly.
Thats he's one dimensional and disappears against decent opposition a little bit like Rooney to some degree.Rooney goes missing against decent sides.
He has scored once from open play against Liverpool in 16 attempts.

Suarez is potentially one of the best players around, you can't doubt that and his current form is great.

I will judge him on this and future seasons - so far I think he as been good but not as good as other seem to think but as stated above he does have the potential to be a great player

You sir are certainly a deluded fool.

If Arsenal had not thrown away their opportunity would United have won the Premiership? - probably not

If Chelsea had not gone into a mid-season sulk would United have won the Premiership? - probably not

To therefore assume that your side is operating from the commanding heights is probably fallacious

To be fair Dave what he is saying isn't unreasonable :

    1) Uniteds home form is fairly consistant.
    2) Surely our away form must improve - well at least I hope it will.

He / we just have a different opinion to you it hardly mades him or us deluded

    Dave.
I believe that there is a lot of people on this forum that don't understand the simple concept of competition. This may be the reason why we had countless Downing and Henderson articles.
Some people believe that only certain clubs have the right to spend money...and for some reasons others don't.Liverpool apparently have no right to spend money and every time they do...its dissected.
I believe if you stand still..you get left behind.Look what happened to Liverpool in 2009,they weren't investing in their squad to freshen it up enough and were overtaken. Can it happen to others.I think so.Its allowed to happen and no club has a divine right to stay where it is,just because their fans say so.Its dog eat dog, survival of the fittest.Complacency leads to failiure.Your competitiors won't think twice about slitting your throat, you must remain 10 steps ahead of them.
Machevaillian once said ''Keep your friends close and your enemies even closer''.I reckon in the premiership this applies.

So, I read through most of the pages, but couldn't be bothered to read the last couple of this thread.
What I gather is that United19Red is attempting to disprove the suggestion that Utd won the league last season because of poor displays from the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal by linking us very kindly to THE LEAGUE TABLE?

The league table shows that they won the league...which isn't the debate at all. What it also shows however, is a low points total all round, suggesting that either the teams are more closely matched across the board, or the tops teams were a little off it. I think the latter is the likeliest explanation. United were below par, but not as much as Chelsea and Arsenal were, and thus they won.

That about sums it up and appears to be the general consensus amongst the football watching community.

<laugh> was a bit like that, always hated cider after bad experiences with snakebite at 16yrs old, so it was the first time I have had pear cider and it seemed excellent for sunny day alfresco consumption.

It may well be a very fine drink but CIDER it ain't. If it's not apples then it anin't cider.

I'd love to say that if it was pressed North of Clevedon or South of Wellington then it doesn't deserve to be called cider but most ciders these days use apple concentrate.

If you get the opportunity, you should try some of the newer presses like Stowford - sharp and dry. As a standard cider try something like Thatchers Gold rather than Strongbow or Magners.

As far as I'm concerned the standard has dropped since 2009.
I don't think you will ever see a team do what Chelsea did in 2005 in collecting 95 points.I reckon when Liverpool are eventually crowned champions they will do so with less points that the 86 they collected when finishing second in 2009.
