So apparently Derby sacked Clement not because he wasn't gong to get them the results to get promoted but because he had too short term a view of the club and wanted to get promoted this season. Seems an odd reason to sack a manager mid-season. Is this just an attempt to not look like they made a rash decision?

Typical of the manc logic to conveniently forget the 26 years between 1967 to 1993 and it was a massive 33 years between their European titles.

Ah, so its only the "present" to suit your argument, it would have been more relevant if he'd have said the "present" yoonited don't want to emulate their club's 100's of flop players from the late 60's, 70's, 80's and early 90's and end up without a title winners medal.
