I agree with the purists about wanting proper hoops all the way around. Back in the day they used to affix a white square onto the back upon which sat the squad number in red, did they not? If they applied a modern equivalent to this, i.e. created a smaller blue square on the back as part of the design, rather than almost the entire back being solid blue, I'd be fine with it. But it ain't the most important thing at the end of the day, is it?
I don't beleive there is a rule for stripes and hoops in the Premier League or Championship, just look at Stoke, Sunderland and Reading (although I think Newcastle have a blank back). It's all about money, they know it looks **** without a name and number so you're forced to spend more on that. Also a money grabbing scheme that we couldn't design our own kit in year 1, load of bollocks, just mean't we had to pay out twice in 12 months if we want the new kits. But if those images are real, I like the look of them.
to be honest, IF we can get the Arsenal shirt I feel it would help the team. Why I hear you all say.....wondering whether I have been at the beer already. Simples........the players would go out on the pitch wearing the shirt...the opposition players would cover their eyes with their hands thus making it easier for Rangers to win. Don't know if any of you guys think my cunning plan could work.....
We should revert to the all white shirts so the team can simple remove them, pop 'em on the end of a stick and wave them at the opposition.
