The All-New "Mouser Watch!" Thread

Discussion in 'The Premier League' started by Hoddle is a god, Dec 6, 2014.

  1. Thanks, Treble.
    <ok>

    Don't get me wrong, I'm never one to miss a good wind-up, as you all know, but most of the time I do this by using hyperbole, as on this occasion.

    For what it's worth, I wish things were like they were back in the 70s, when I first started properly watching football. The clubs held all the bargaining chips, the players were closer to the fans, player loyalty was the rule rather than the exception, football was more of a man's game than a sprinter's. But I am not going to let wishful thinking and sentimentality cloud by sense of reality. Sorry if that upsets anyone.

  2. I bet the Mousers are worried about being over-taken by Chelsea.

    As fascinating as it is at the top of the league, it's just as fascinating in that mid table scrap. Will 'Pool hold off Chelsea? Can they finish above Everton? Can Watford pull a surprise move on 'Pool? It's all to play for, still. Must be incredibly exciting for you Mousers, no?

    I think Liverpool will just about sneak a top 10 finish this season.

    I think the fun has gone out of taking the piss out of them. It's a bit like kicking a sick old dog.

  7. That's 'Pool's season over, effectively.

    Sure, there's the Milk Cup Final, but even the Mousers can't believe they'll win that.

    I think Pool can beat City. City can be made to look really **** by high pressing teams..plus the fact the mousers love an emotional scenario and they will be eager to bring Sterling down a few pegs.

    You have to applaud the team for their integrity. The fans have their protests and the palyers are doing their bit on the pitch by ensuring nobody in their right mind would pay that money to watch them.

    ... do you think Liverpool FC will cave in to the moral pressure and move the decimal place to a more appropriate position ...., £7.70 plus a hubcaps intact matchday parking exerience guarantee?

    We don't get many Mousers on this thread. Apart from Gonz and SuckMyDick they don't often venture far from the support group safety of their own board.

  20. We used to get quite a few on the Mouser Watch thread on the Spurs board. Perhaps they think they'll get better protection from our mods than they would by throwing themselves to the ravages of this board?

    They don't, of course.
