I've said before...there will soon be a time when first team players will have been born in the 21st century.
Very soon...West Ham has fielded a player born in December of 1998, so we're probably no more than two years away.
I'm sorry, i know it would be great to put a teenager in the first team, but who would you drop for him? He plays in the same role as Manè and Tadic. He is still very young and is hardly being held back. players like Shaw are the exception. Most players don't see regular 1st team football till there early 20s at PL level.
Jake Hesketh on senior prospects: "one good performance is not enough - they are looking for that level consistently" It seems he has his head screwed on right!
Only watched the 2nd half but impressions.. Vokins has something about him, Balanced and strong for his age, his distribution was mixed but when good it was very good. Gallagher seems to have gone backwards, he seems to have little idea about how to use his physical presence, played like Mr Awkward. Hesketh scored a cracking goal and had another good effort from range that hit the outside of the post. Martina put in a shift, Juanmi didn't.
Such a shame because he broke into the first team with a great performance against Arsenal Let's hope he gets his mojo back
