The "normal" formation tends to be 4-2-3-1 with a pretty high press our recent five at the back was as a result of poor results. Saying that, if those are the two main formations, surely the youth teams should be schooled in both methods and play both at a competitive level.
Looking at the recent results, maybe the youth teams need the five at the back too

or maybe more :emoticon-0146-punch

Wont mean much :(

I'm sorry, i know it would be great to put a teenager in the first team, but who would you drop for him?

He plays in the same role as Manè and Tadic.
He is still very young and is hardly being held back. players like Shaw are the exception.
Most players don't see regular 1st team football till there early 20s at PL level.

Jake Hesketh on senior prospects: "one good performance is not enough - they are looking for that level consistently"
It seems he has his head screwed on right!

Only watched the 2nd half but impressions.. Vokins has something about him, Balanced and strong for his age, his distribution was mixed but when good it was very good. Gallagher seems to have gone backwards, he seems to have little idea about how to use his physical presence, played like Mr Awkward. Hesketh scored a cracking goal and had another good effort from range that hit the outside of the post. Martina put in a shift, Juanmi didn't.

Gallagher's dad dying has destroyed him.
