Well Norwegian footie is not exactly a global phenomenon, nor does it have any big clubs yet there appears to be a market for it. No one outside of Norway is interested in it I would hazard. The problem we have in Scotland is that the SFA and SPFL - for a variety of reasons which I have no inclination to debate here - are unfit for purpose, they sold us short.
A few extra million per club on your TV deal will barely make a difference either way. It's funny watching you jealous Jocks attack the EPL every day though
Who's attacked the EPL? Its a good product, I watch MoTD most weeks and MoTD2, most Scots do and also support an English team as well as their own. Jealous? Mibees ayes mibees naw but I think most are intelligent enough not to draw any comparisons between the leagues, because there is none. You wouldn't compare the EPL to the Norwegian league, so why compare it to the SPFL or expect similar standards of play or quality of players. Its not great but we like it for the most part.
Despite the untold riches In the EPL the team sitting at the top of it at the moment was put together for buttons. So **** yees all.
Nah, Leicester have money. That's kinda the point, the TV money has levelled the playing field a bit because unlike in say, Spain, the money is distributed throughout the league. The 'diddy clubs' as Dev keeps calling them (that'll be the ones without glory hunting fans) no longer have to keep selling their best players just to survive. Its Still hard to stop em going if someone offers to double their wages, but I note Mr Vardy has just signed a new deal with Leicester. That wouldn't have happened s few years ago.
The last two times we have played Palace it's been 1-0 with them getting iffy penalties at the death. What's the betting that prick Adebayor does it today? Could do with the points to get closer to the survival target.
Anything is possible Dev they are playing good football and winning. My side are in a mini league with Sunderland Newcastle and Bournemouth. All ****e but it's exciting , ****ing seething drawing after going 2 up spitting barbed wire then Toon got raped at Chelsea and now I'm less angry.
I like seeing new clubs in Europe, it gets boring watching tactical chess matches between teams who've played each other umpteen times. One of the main reasons why the CL is of little interest to me nowadays. Good luck to Watford and Leicester, Spurs and the Ammers too, I hope they all qualify for Europe.
