Are Newcastle fans' glasses half empty or half full?

I admit to being a sad so and so in that I spend a lot of time on here and on other Newcastle blog sites reading/hoping for some news on NUFC and, obviously during the transfer windows, about any new players.

I do, however, believe that I am, at heart, an optimist and that my glass is half full. It never ceases to amaze me, however, that so many posters ( not just on this site ) always take a negative view believing any media reports as gospel if they slag off NUFC, Cashley, or that we have "missed out" on new players.

If I had the technical skills there would have been a poll at this point for everyone to indicate whether they thought they were optimistic or pessimistic in outlook to all things NUFC.

Instead it would be helpful as well as commenting on how you view yourselves (optimist or pessimist ) in footballing terms if you could perhaps follow on +1,+2 etc for optimists and -1, -2 etc for pessimists from the previous optimist or pessimist that you are posting after. ( Hope that makes sense. Sadly it does for me !!!) Then we can see whether we think we are optimists or pessimists as a group.

Please, no "realists" , "pragmatists" etc. Just optimist or pessimist, thanks.

The thread is as a result of someone on here (sorry forgot who) suggesting the newbies might want to post threads as well as the odd comment. So don't blame me, blame that unknown and currently forgotten "senior".

I'm so fed up with the management at the club.

 

Used to be an optimist, now I am certainly becoming/have become a pessimist and certainly where Newcastle United are concerned.

 

I believe we are cursed

 

So far it doesn't seem that many optimists are reading/commenting.

 

Don't believe in that rubbish, unless things are REALLY bad.

 

It seems **** to be a Newcastle fan tbf. It's pre-season and you are finding out that Ben Afra may be injury-prone (yes they were both bad tackles, but the tackles won't stop!), a few members of your team can't enter America, and you sell one of your best players and now, 7 months on, it doesn't look like you are making a big attempt to recover that position (which is vital).

You also have the problem of all of your best/committed players may not be in the club for long (Jose, Barton etc..) due to the owner.

I, a Bolton fan, feel sorry for you lot coz there aren't any other clubs (bar Q.P.R) that have any serious issues!

 

Ive supported Newcastle since the 60's and every season my old man would say this season is going to be our season.

So when he died I started saying to my kids, but not this season and not for a long time.

I dont see us doing anything with Ashley is charge.

I'm just one depressed Toon fan but like a fool I will be there on August 13th supporting the lads

We have a history of having owners like Ashley.

Over the years we have had owners who have bled the club dry.

Half full personally. But it gets emptier with every minute I spend on here because of all the negativity.
