So, I am in the market for a new mp3 player as my 120gb iPod is almost full and my music collection is ever expanding. I was online today doing some research as I don't want another iPod but it seems that there are no alternatives when is comes to high capacity players as the largest I found was the 160gb iPod classic. I can't believe that no other company has developed a competitor for Apple in this area as there are a lot of people out there who don't like iPods unless I have missed one. There is an opportunity for someone like Creative Media to develop a good competitor but no one will take the chance. Why?
How to **** have you managed to find 120gb of music which would actually like listening to? That's why nobody has done it, because nobody really needs every song ever made in their pocket at all times.
I don't really understand why, unless there's not much of a market for them. A large capacity one is if anything simpler than a nano, it's just a hard disk with a screen and some buttons on top.
The man likes his music Mick. Why be so disparaging about someone who has a great affinity for something? I find this an admirable quality compared to all the negativity on here.
That's how wide ranging my music tastes are, I will listen to anything and everything and I have music playing everywhere (work, car, home, gym etc) so I get through it all.
I've got 100 GB's of music and it took an insane amount of downloading* over a very long time - There's well over 3 months continuous music! Why would you want more?! Do you watch films on it? Edit: *shared amongst 3 people...
No films, all music but quite a lot are high quality files that are quite large so they take up a lot of space.
Back in 1999 I was working in KFC in Belfast for £2.20 per hour. I saved up £150 and bought my first MP3 player (and in fact one of the first MP3 players to ever be released). It had 32mb internal memory and a SD card expansion slot, a 64mb SD card at the time was about 80 quid so I never bought one. Aye so I struggled to fit one album on it, people are just greedy these days
Not anymore. It was petrol bombed in late 1999 after complaints of dodgy mayonnaise allegedly. It was never actually proven about the allegations though.
