Seems he is not cut out for the number one position, obviously a good coach and more suited to being a number 2 or U21 coach.

At least he was able to coach them to beating the Mighty Tigers over Christmas. <laugh>

Who next then for the Rotherham hot seat ?

Stuart Gray is the early favourite, followed by Uwe Rosler, Mark Cooper, Andy Hughes and predictably (as he gets linked with every Championship job), Neil Warnock.

17 points, that's decent for Rotherham. They should be grateful we were feeling generous!!

Good up and coming manager who is accustomed to working with little financially, would be a good fit. That said, zero understanding and experience of the Championship!

He has done a very good job at Northampton, it would be a decent appointment.

    From BBC Sports web site:-

Neil Warnock is one of three candidates under consideration to become Rotherham manager, BBC Radio Sheffield reports.

All three have Championship experience and are due to be interviewed about the job this week.

Warnock, 67, once played for the Millers, and is available after leaving his role as Queens Park Rangers' temporary manager in December.

Neil Redfearn became the shortest-serving manager in Rotherham's history when he was sacked on Monday.

The Millers hope to appoint in successor before Saturday's home game against Birmingham City.

Warnock was manager at nearby Sheffield United for eight years, taking them to the Premier League in 2006 before resigning when they were relegated the following season.

Clubs he has managed also include Leeds United and Huddersfield Town, and he had two stints as head coach of Crystal Palace.

Rotherham are currently 22nd in the Championship, three points below Bristol City and MK Dons, who occupy the two positions above the relegations places.
