In the Grand National when a long shot wins it the press always say it's a good day for the bookies. I suppose you don't get 5,000 to 1 in a horse race. Are these losses definitely overall losses?

Steve Lynex was better than Mahrez anyway.

Loved the thread lads and thanks for the compliments ...

One post mentioned it being 'the TEAM' ... and in a nutshell that is it ... they play to their strengths ...anyone thinking we are a one man or two man team is a fool ..

Vardy didn't score on Saturday but still worked his socks off and could have had 3 on another day ...

Kante and Drinkwater have been absolutely superb all season .... fantastic work ethic, bundles of energy .... and not a little skill to boot ..

The defence has been awesome since Fuchs and Simpson came in to the full back positions (I really didn't rate Simpson but he has been great) the sum of the parts definitely surpasses the individuals themselves ...

Mahrez for me is the singly most skillful player in the EPL ... we have been blessed to have watched him at our club - if he goes in the summer, fair play to the lad ... it has been a priviledge ... (and we should get £30m plus (I'd be tempted to say much more))

Vardy and Okazaki ... terriers that can score goals ... we defend from the front and attack as a pack ..

Kaspar seems to have eliminated some of the flaws from his game and made one incredible point blank stop on Saturday - but then Joe Hart made 3 or 4! ...

What really summed up this team was the defence going apoplectic (Wes Morgan in particular) when we conceded (and Aguerro was offside <grr>) in the last few minutes ... that's desire for you.

Leicester's head of technical scouting Ben Wrigglesworth has joined Arsenal.

Wrigglesworth, who helped the Foxes unearth players such Riyad Mahrez and N'Golo Kante, confirmed the move on social media.

    Oh dear.

It's Walsh that really matters, though it seems they're after him as well.

Wenger, "I want to find world class players who don't cost a lot of money, we are building for the future and that means finishing 4th and being eliminated in the QFs of the Champions League every season.; that is what the fans deserve" (apparently..)

Yes. They should be buying the kind of player any fan could spot, such as Lewandowski at Bayern. That's the way for Arsenal to win the league. Any bargains they get will be signed later by Man City. Good business sense maybe but not great football sense.

Seems you tried to sign Eder before the deadline, but your failure might be a blessing in my eyes. He's a very, very good player who brings the element of the unexpected but one thing he isnt is a team player and he would never run the amount Ranieri's approach and system is demanding. If you'd got him I could see a Tino Asprilla at Newcastle situation and it going off the rails.

Actually they are in a way. The big clubs have totally messed up the PL this season for a variety of reasons. Leicester have simply taken advantage of the big clubs fecking up.

Manchester City on Saturday were a disgrace. The media keep blaming the missing Vincent Kompany for the poor form and defending. Leicester have nothing like the quality and skill levels,, However they DO HAVE heart, desire and team spirit. That will more often than not be enough to see off half-baked opponents.

As for our game with the Foxes, when they brought on Vardy especially we played him well. If you don't play a high line then you kill a big part of his game. At some point PL teams will work out how to stop Vardy.

... the above are all meaningless really Tickles ... if you play it beackwards and forwards across your back line often enough you can top all 3 ... but you won't have scored any of thos goal thingys that actually determine the result ...

Her are some stats from our game with Man City
    Shots
    Home 22
    Away14
    Shots on Target
    Home 4
    Away 7
... 50% of our shots were on target .. the number of shots that miss the target may just as well be erased from the stats ... you would then be left with a more meaningful stat about our dominance in that particuklar game ... just saying ...

Some good points there about Vardy, it's an indictment of some very poor coaching in the Premier League this season that has let Vardy run riot at times

Tickles <laugh> ... so Leicester's success this season ia ALL to do with the usual suspects screwing it up rather than Leicester playing football that the other teams just can't cope with? priceless ...<laugh>

How lucky we are to have caught everybody with their pants down and to be making up for a lack of quality with some heart, desire and a few duracell batteries ...

We are the top points scorers in the league, we have gained more points away from home than any other team, we are the top scorers in the league (joint), we have the league's top goalscorer (indeed he set an all time premiership scoring record) and we have the player with the most combined goals and assists record ...

... but let's not get carried away eh? :emoticon-0136-giggl ... the big boys have merely let us achieve those things by being inept themselves <laugh>

... sometimes Tickles it pays to engage brain before starting to type <doh>

Could not agree more ^^^^^^ these bits. Mahrez sadly for the PL and Leicester will move on in the summer. The question is to which one ? However, in the current market a fee north of £35m should be recovered for him.

From £400k to £millions......... someone in Austria wont be happy either <laugh>
