Bright and breezy in rural France today. I have been trying to plan a trip to the UK with goodness knows how many variables. For some reason, probably tides, the ferry I normally catch has many different departure times. If it leaves too late then my first meal and pint or two of ale gets missed when we arrive. That is quite unacceptable. The internet is a wonderful thing. I am sat in France, watching the 18 year old we have loaned to Granada playing against Real Madrid. If he is 18 I must be 120. Lots of empty seats because Granada are charging €15. Granada losing 1-0 but not all is lost yet.
Good tackle by the ref to make it 1-1. But very deserved. Interesting to see how few RM supporters travelled to Granada. I know it's a far trek to Granada, but you would have though that RM would have more local support - if Man U played in Guildford there would be a lot more turn up!
Would say that Granada were unlucky to lose that. They should pull clear of trouble if they can play like that every week. You can see why players coming to the English leagues from Spain think it is easy to go down in a heap and fool the ref.
Morning all, not a good start to the week when I am woken up by wind at 5.00 am. (External, not internal) I think we have caught the tail end of your storm with coastal departments in the north west on alert. So far winds of 139 km/h have been recorded along the Channel causing ferries to be cancelled. My cousin died last week in England and her funeral is tomorrow, but I had given my apologies for not attending, and am rather glad I am not trying to get there.
I thought Imogen had passed, but coming out of the pub yesterday evening we were presented with horizontal again! Still a bit wild this morning when I left the gym at 08.00 - so a very wet and windy start to the day in Bandit Country
Still high winds here...heavy rain, thunder and lightning last night. May be an afternoon indoors today!
They closed the majority of the main road from the west of the island into town this morning, causing absolute chaos. It's times like that I'm glad that I can't drive.
Apparently, my physio thinks that the leg he is treating is stronger than my "good" leg, but I still have to go back and see him in 2 weeks!
