We only really have a chance of overhauling Spurs. I think that's unlikely after today but we've yet to play them so who knows.
City are grounded and are used to getting top 4. Spurs always have the ability to self-combust. If we beat them then the gap is 4 points. I still think it's unlikely bcos we have a c*nt in charge but it's the best chance we have... which aint much granted!
They do **** up Spurs that is true. Would you want Europa or rather take sixth? I think part of the reason LVG got top four was because you played part-time
Is 6th not in Europa? I'd happily have Europa. I love football. I love watching United playing in as many competitions as possible. A better manager would have had us getting past the group stages of the CL and competing in the Prem. Van Gaal is an ar5e.
no only 5th, FC cup winner or losers if winners are in CL, winners of **** cup only, losers get nothing, so 6th spot will be a euro cup place as ££££ will win the **** cup
Hola, disappointing to only get a point against relegation fodder but in truth a fair result. We were by far the better footballing team and it says a lot about the current Chelsea team that they parked the bus from the first minute. Sadly LVG's own negative philosophy kicked in after the goal and Chelsea were bound to score. I've said for a while that top 4 isn't happening because we've already gifted away too many silly points. Today was another example.
I enjoyed our little foray into the Europa a few seasons ago against the likes of Atletico and Ajax iirc? I'm happy to see us play some dross in the group stages and hopefully continue and come up against some very good sides from Spain, Italy and Germany. BTW that doesn't mean I wouldn't want to see us do well in the domestic cups. I just think the more games the better
Yeh I don't get it either tbh. The fact we dropped into the Europa this season is something to look forward to surely? And if next season we can't compete in the league while being in Europa, then we don't deserve to finish top 4 or any higher.
