All I will say on him is I didnt see the player everyone was raving about after his 45 mins against WBA. You are spot on he has had 11/2 games and will judge after 5 or so. What I will say he does work hard and had a few good touches, wish his movement was a bit better in the box but good signs for the future, not sure at this stage whether there are a lot of goals in him but we will see in time. I personally wouldn't have brought the totally useless piece of ****e on at that time there was probably no point as he normally takes 20 or so minutes to move out of first gear and I have also never seen the point in bringing a sub on with 3 or 4 minutes to go and I think the ball he missed controlled in the box would have been better dealt with by anyone else on the field, simply as they were in to the game.

I still worry where the goals will come from.

The point about Paloschi is that I think he is a bit like Defoe living close to the offside line and trying to get behind the defence. For this to work we have to put through balls on the ground between defenders or over the top for him to run on to. We didn't do this yesterday and haven't much all season except for Shelvey early on. The traditional high ball into the box of which we saw plenty yesterday isn't much use as it is meat and drink to tall defenders. From what I saw yesterday while Paloschi has a decent leap I think Ayew has a better one.. Hard low driven crosses might be more beneficial because deflections can go anywhere and Paloschi looks the type who can pounce on them.

I said something similar yesterday, pointless bringing Naughton and Gomis on with a few minutes left and if anything it stopped the rhythm we had at that moment.

Without any urgency and dynamism to our attack then teams have the time to defend more comfortably. It's still early days to judge Guids yet but he has had the opportunity to show more ambition but hasn't. We have the players to be more dynamic, let's do it!

I agree but Paloshi and Ayews movement and runs in the box have to be better as well, sometimes in the box we are a little static and the only option is to either go back and start again or just put the ball in the box and hope they get on it, it isn't only the person crossing the ball has to be accurate it is the people in the box movement that is as important and yesterday neither were good. So yes delivery needs to be better, but also movement as well.

Run into the box for what ,to pretend something of quality is coming in ?When Paloschi gets anything resembling help , he will score .
We missed Ki 's presence yesterday and was hoping Fer would be in his place .
Fer's last 18 games played for QPR , when QPR were in the middle of an unsuccessful relegation battle , he scored a third of their goals ....6 .
We could use that sort of effort right about now .

I think I would like to see Fer as you suggest Roof as his height and attacking ability could add to us and TLF which come first the runs from the attackers or the through bakll from the midfielders. I saw too many high balls and not enough through ones yesterday.

So we might as well as all go home and not play any more games this season and just give up then. I can not disagree with you more. the movement by Paloschi, Ayew and maybe even siggy in to the box was poor at best and unless you make a run in the box you may just get lucky and have the right ball as good strikers do it is making runs with no hope on the chance you may get the ball not just not bothering because you don't think the ball will be put where you want it and you keep doing it every time no matter what and just to blame the wingers or full backs is pathetic. it is a team game and whilst our crossing wasn't the best standing still in the box hoping it will come to you is even worse in my opinion. I would like to know what makes you say Paloschi will score, you have seen him play 1 1/2 times and either you have some sort of superb foresight or you are just guessing. I have tried to not make any judgement of Paloschi as it was his first start but when I see people like you big him up after what I saw yesterday I am staggered. He was average at best, Better than Gomis but then who isn't.

I am not talking about through balls I was talking about the balls in to the box and normally the run from the attacker should come first to show where the through ball be played and the pass made almost instantly . Well that's what my son is being taught in his academy side, but maybe they are wrong.

The same thing that makes you think Paloschi won't score lefty ....opinion .
All the players are talking highly of Paloschi , if our manager had a tail , it would be wagging over the transfer of Paloschi .....Paloschi has 120 minutes so far and he has played pretty well , give it some time .Guido has been in the stands or on the bench for 4 games now and we have 8 points from those games without a loss .
I only see things improving as time goes on too .....imo .

So tell me what makes you think he will score if his movement is poor.

I thought paloschi was poor yesterday but we can excuse him at this early stage, we missed Ki and shelvey's input badly....

We didn't miss Shelveys input Dai because he doesn't play for us <ok> I'd agree we missed Ki though.

Dai, only NU wanted him. We had two choices,

    1. Keep a useless player (that is what he'd become) who was unhappy and unsettling the squad, a la fighting with Gylfi
    2. Mug Newcastle and take £12 million and reinvest that in Palo and bring in Fer on loan.

It was a no brainier and a great bit of business by the club.

I thought his movement was fine considering the circumstances during the game where team movement was less than good
We had less than good movement against West Brom , but he came back and with a great defensive play he got us out of trouble with a beautiful touch pass (semi overhead kick ) and ran the entire length of the pitch to get into position to thwart the defender in their box in time for Siggy to score his goal .He was totally responsible for our goal in the West Brom game without getting an assist . Check out the highlight .
