Shelvy, has he played his last game?

I'd say I hope he lands on his head, but he probably wouldn't feel it <laugh>

Shelvey was a talented anomaly that didn't quite fit our game, and his attitude was his downfall, and it will be the same at Toon...................<ok>

Dai, I feel you are missing something here. Yes Shelvey has played for England. He is an England international. With that status comes much higher expectations from fans. Shelvey was not even close to delivering consistently good performances that should be expected of an England international. It's all very well mentioning that others also had bad games - eg Rangel, but Rangel is not a current Spanish international. If he was, then I'm sure fans would have higher expectations.
If the problems with Shelvey and Sigurdsson couldn't be resolved, then I'm happy that it was Shelvey that left rather than Siggy.

He thinks he's a championship level player who should be challenging championships. He'll have the opportunity to do that next season against the Cardiffs, Leeds and Forests of the league :)

Highly unlikely valley . We will do well imo to stay above Newcastle when they gel a bit and 38 games are finished .

They said the same thing about QPR, Breezy. A team of talented individuals doesn't necessarily make a team.

For all his faults Shelvey is talented. You don't play at international level if you're not. Likewise, Townsend. Winjaldum, Krool, etc. You can't say they are not talented. But my point is that doesn't necessarily make for a good team.

It's not difficult to gain a full Cap , Bothroyd is a prime example of being in the right place at the right time

Another MOM display by shelvey yesterday giving one of our rivals 3 points while we can only pick up a point......It makes his move look bazaar and totally mad...

Shame he couldn't pinpoint his way into getting us the win at Oxford instead of showing no ****ing effort at all then. Doesn't matter how good a player is, if he doesn't want to play for you he has to go.

The WBA game wax ideal for JJ, he had so much time and space. WBA were awful yesterday and if that form carries on they will be well and truly in the relegation mix.
