Someone should of told Payet he didn't have to stay in Victors pocket after he was sent off.

What somebody needs to do for Payet is find the sniper that shot him. Almost killed the poor boy.

Payet was actually pretty good, I thought. I was sort of impressed. It's just that Wanyama and Romeu were his equal. That's when you need some help from your teammates, and he got none.

Not really his fault West Ham couldn't sort themselves out at the back and Valencia was laughably awful. Other than some sporadic moments from Noble and Antonio, Payet was the only who looked capable of doing anything, but no one can win 1 against 11. Or even 1 against 10.

Hmm. Not sure I agree. He can be, and usually is, a lot more effective than he was today. Now whether that was due to our layers marshalling him well, or just an off day for him, is the question. But no, he was wasn't the threat he usually is imho.

What a game, not the prettiest of games, won't make the headlines tomorrow but for tension and a battling display and talking points what a game.

Thank God, watched on tv at pub after watching Gillingham 0 Swindon 0. What a dire sack of Justin biebers that was. Game was crying out for a sending off, biggest excitement was a foul throw in. (Turnbull done ok for Swindon).

Great to then see saints and proper football. You don't have to have a goal from 30 yards, a messi type player taking on half the team, a hatfull of goals or end to end stuff to enjoy a game of football, a gritty performance seeing your team win does it for me.

How many games will Wanyama be banned for?

I'm not too worried - I actually prefer Romeu to Wanyama in the holding role and with Classie now looking great too, we've plenty of options with Davis and JWP also in midfield. Reed perfectly capable of a spot on the bench too.

    1 - 5 games.

2 - There's only one 's' in Clasie. One 's' in Clasie. There's only one 's' in Clasie.

Yes, I'm going to go on about that. It's like talking about Rickie Llambert.

That can't be José, can it.? I can't see any trace of that head cut. Very good though. Better than Heath Ledger.

Indeed, only one 'S' in Clasie. You keep going until every Saints fan can spell properly. :) My own contribution - hope this helps your mission:

    Jordy CLASIE with one 'S'.

It weirds me out. If I kept talking about "Koemman" I'd expect people to call me out!

Don't worry. You'll be branded as one of the Spelling Police Force soon enough, but you carry on. Consider it as your part in a free further education course. :)
