Check my post earlier. Thought he was poor first half. Got better in second, but I guess good to get some fitness minutes in there.

I watched Sky Choice but either I blinked or they didn't show the Byram foul? X-Rated perhaps. No matter, Valencia on Romeu was as bad.

Should he have been booked for his dive first half? Or did he just simply lose his footing?
It was so comical I think the ref let it slide

    Over Wanyama or Clasie?

We've been rotating the midfield pretty much every game due to match congestion, injuries, suspensions, and probably tactical reasons so I would not have been surprised or disappointed by whoever we chose.

I've been happy with that until now. But Wanyama's penalty today was tough for me to swallow. He gave away a few silly fouls even before that. He was otherwise playing well, and none of the previous fouls were bad, just sort of pointless. But he should have sensed he was ripe for a card and might not get the benefit of doubt on anything borderline. Very frustrating.

Although I wasn't that nervous about being down to ten. Would obviously have preferred 11, but we were set up already to play 5 at the back, and with the weather conditions I figured it would be tough to score. I was mostly worried about a gust of wind causing some kind of freak goal but that could happen with 11 men just as easily.

Vic did a great job before his sending off. Romeu was excellent when he came on. Nice problem to have.

Yes, one of them because he was that good on Tuesday. As it turns out (remember I have been a massive fan of him) Clasie was excellent again today. I was disappointed that he didn't start o Tuesday and Romeu did :)... just goes to show that we have to trust the manager.

Indeed. I think I have defended every midfielder we have over the season. When people were complaining about Reed not being given a chance, I was saying that as much as I like him, we need to see what Clasie and Romeu can do.

Then at some point people wanted Romeu over Wanyama and I was saying well wait, Wanyama's been a rock for us the last few seasons. I like them all, though I still miss Schneiderlin.

Wanyama disappointed me today, can't lie. But even still this whole stupid red card thing wasn't a problem until recently. He needs to get his head on straight, but he can do that. So if he slots right back into the side after his ban, I will trust RK on that.

Credit the Beeb, they spotted it, full marks for Bertie not making a fuss and no histrionics from Saints players, saved the lad from a certain red.

I watch it again, and I still have no idea how Byram didn't get sent off. actually, I do. It's because Ryan Bertrand isn't a drama queen ****wit like Payet, and Clattenburg is just hilariously gullible. Sort of thing where they need to be able to review it afterwards.
