Tactical genius. Perhaps you can take Glenn Hoddle's or [insert any other pundit's name] place on the TV. :)

Well that was exhilarating. I bet it was even more tense listening on the radio than watching from the Chapel, where most of the second half action was happening.
I haven't seen a replay but Vic's challenge looked horrible from the stands. I can't understand why make that challenge on the half way line? Whatever the merits of case for a red, it's a stupid way of getting an unnecessary yellow and having to play on a knife edge for the rest of the game.
Victor- he had spaghetti. It was good. Less red meat, I think.

Colottenburk? He gave us a lot of decisions today, particularly in the first half, I think he may have over reacted, Vic was careless and clumsy but contact looked minimal, never warranted the over acting by the WHU players.

But as has been mentioned before...it isn't about how bad the contact is or how much damage you do...it's the tackle itself and whether it was out of control or not.

I would also add that our defence was phenomenal, and although it was tense, we always seemed to cope with the balls into the box. It wasn't just VVD, every cross seemed to drop to a red and white shirt.
I can't remember a better display under pressure at SMS. There always seemed to be three of our players blocking the shot and yet also picking up the loose ball. Well done lads! Well done!

Defensive masterclass. Vices red threw tactics out the window a bit, think tadic would have come on otherwise. Yoshida was solid, long motm for me.

Mark Clattenburg - Urgh! The referees a ****er chant was made for him.
They say of a good ref performance that you don't even know he is there. I don't think that can ever be the case with this guy. I don't care if he got every decision right. As a referee he is horrible. I pay my money to watch footballers

Great result and gutsy display from saints. VVD was my motm

Always like that little bark that Ronald does. Today he reserved it for Maya Yoshida.
And we got a little bonus car-rak-tor [character] to go with it. Love his Dutch-English. :)

My second favourite win of the season, after the Arsenal 4-0. Defended like warriors, none more so than VVD who was easily my MOTM.

Real shame about Victor, because since he's come back into the team after his Norwich red card I've thought he's been pretty much back to his best (having been awful for weeks). But this is what, a FIVE match ban now (due to the previous two red cards)? When you include missing the Norwich game due to his head not being in the right place, that's eight league matches of Victor unavailability (and would have nine had Palace not been a cup game). That's over 20% of our league season. Maybe it was only a yellow, I haven't seen a replay. But from the one view I did get of it live, I called a red card straight away. Looked horribly out of control. Best sell up the summer, me thinks.

Wow, didn't we battle hard!? But enough about us trying to walk up Hythe Pier afterwards, I was really impressed with the lads today.

They worked well as a team, they defended well and dug deep to get those 3 ppoints.

As for Victor, bit of a stupid challenge (again) - but if his was a red, then West Ham should have had at least one sent off. The inconsistencies that referees show are really quite silly.

Perhaps we could actually win an appeal? No, of course not.
