Sorry, meant I do think he is trying to gradually build it on a sensible budget. I might have come across wrong lol
What do you think he has improved. We are into elanora sports for £20mill, GFH for £20mill have outstanding legal action from various parties for another potential £12mill. Cellino has a cash flow problem as evidenced by the recatogorising games to get more money from ticket sales, merchandise fire sales and pie tax. The team are not winnng and are playing the worst football I have ever seen from us..... And I have seen plenty of ****e. Oh and we are one position lower in the league than where we finished last year having scored just 12 goals at elland road.
As I said a younger balanced squad and more difficult to beat. As for being into Eleanor's sport, regardless of who ever owns the club, that will always be the situation. All new owners will set up their purchases in such a way. As for being into gfh for 20m, that dates back to how they set up their buyout. Hence, every time the club is sold, the selling price will rise by 50%
No worries, you've drunk more than me apparently Eire. I just hope you're right. Cellino's timescale is already out and I just have this depressing feeling the club is going to go nowhere. I can't see what his plan is to get us promoted. Next season the parachute payments for the relegated clubs will still see them as some of the richest clubs in Europe. We can't keep pissing around with cheap loan signings unless we get a manager that can spot a real player at that level, turn them into a very hungry team before they are poached off us
Don't worry about the parachute payments. If they meant that much, the relegated teams would go straight back up. Birmingham, Blackpool, Cardiff, Bolton, wolves, QPR, reading have all had them recently and hasn't done them any use
I was struggling with better balanced unless he meant they were all equally ****e with no gems to polish....
All players in their prime. Now add int the 19 and 20 year olds for a balanced view. All players now have a resale value compared to warnocks day
Eire. Good point but we haven't managed to get above a lot of teams that don't have the parachute payments yet. And how long have we been out of the premier league?
I personally think Cellino will make serious progress in half the time bates had us stagnating. Our time under him was a complete waste and was nothing other than an asset stripping exercise year on year. None of that or the gfh debacle is Cellinos fault but he does have to fix it as best he can
I hate to sound depressing (are we the only two sad old ****ers that don't get out on a Saturday night ) But it's always the same old thing, " wait till the next transfer window, putting right what when wrong under the last owner etc. Reality is nothing changes. We are no nearer the top six now, let alone the top two, than we have been in the last decade. My horrible concern is our owners make enough money out of the club where we are to even give a **** about promotion. Of course I might just be a miserable ****
