The fairest thing I can say is we are Norwich City, this is what we do. Since the early to mid 1970's we have mostly been too good for the 2nd tier but not quite good enough for the top tier. Yes there have been some great seasons in the top division but in general terms Norwich have remained cannon fodder for the majority and our away record in the last 40 years (in the top division) is shameful baring a couple of exceptional seasons.

I am used to it and to anyone who has not been following the club for more than perhaps 10-15 years, I say - get used to it.
It's only been 30 years for me Thai, but yes, your post nails it. I always post nonsense in the hope that it might come true, but deep inside our psyche remains as it always was.

Wish we wouldn't have spent all that money on those players now.... Will be a massive wage bill if we try to retain our squad like last time we slivered out of the league.

Great post, Thai and so very true <ok>
When I had my season ticket, we had such luminaries as Deehan, Megson, Rioch, Hamilton...
I know Norfolk is "flat" but if you want peaks and troughs, just follow the Canaries <laugh>

Well I wish he'd bloody learn elsewhere, we need an experienced head right now, I'd go with Nigel Pearson
Decent shout. Forgot he was available. Plus he knows how to defend. Rogers and Moyes. Give them a massive survival bonus.

I'll never accept it trends are there to be broken. Keeping up this season would take the club in a positive direction on and off the pitch, but we have effectively thrown it away. Our main problem is we're run by a bunch of amateurs, we all knew the club needed investment over the summer but they done absolutely nothing, we have a once trusted manager who is well out of his depth who insists on playing favourites or players out of position, it's an absolute joke, something needs to change.

Im sorry, im going to get shot down - i don't care, Alex Neil's time is up.

Alex Neil doesn't know his best line up, 6 defeats on the trot, i can't see anything changing with Neil in charge.
i dont care whats coming my way, im allowed my opinion, & this is it.

It is hard to argue with that - but that is why we do what we do. The board has never been anything Earth shattering in terms of investment or foresight, even back in the 70's when the club made it to an all-time high.

It is frustrating as buggery but what can we, as fans, do. At least that is what I keep telling myself to keep my sanity.
