You basically mean the formula for success is the opposite of steve Bruce's formula for failure?

Oh how I wish that was us. Leicester were dead and buried at this time last year. But they went for it....won virtually everything on the run in and finished in mid table. And we did the opposite and lost tens of millions. Fortunately we've got another chance!!!

Strangely enough Steve Bruce is not failing at the moment with his own tactics but Lester are much more entertaining to watch.

Let's see how we get on next season in ultra defensive mode. Scrapping for the odd point here and there. Piss scared of Burnley at home. We will never see anything like what Leicester, Swansea, Southampton etc have achieved over recent years with Steve Bruce in charge because there will never be the belief that we can go out and take all the points, only the hope that we can hold on to a clean sheet and Nick a point.

Cost of Leicester starting eleven £26million. Man City had 6 players who each cost more than that. (We have starting line ups that cost more than Leicester City).

Looking at Leicester's remaining fixtures winning the title is a distinct possibility.

The ironic thing if Pearson was still manager I doubt they would be anywhere near the top.

Their manager must have had better scouting/connections than us when we were in the top tier.

They wouldn't, because he'd set them up to be tight and solid and defend at all costs.

Apparently Pearson agreed to sell Vardy to Sheffield Wednesday for £5 million as he didn't rate him. Steve Walsh had told him to persevere (how much credit should he be getting for his contribution to their success? No wonder Arsenal have made moves girl him). Fortunately for Leicester the Wednesday owner had second thoughts and refused to release the funds.

this sums up the whole history of the premier league for me, and why it i've not enjoyed it. i totally agree with you. the last 23? years of the premier league has had too many games where the boltons, birminghams, wigans, and many more have just gone to the so-called "big teams" with a view to not losing by a cricket score. too much "park the bus" and hope your goal difference doesn't take a mauling. steve bruce is one of many who've made a career out of it and we only ever see what he can really do when he's in the championship. i say sod it - if you're playing a "big team" try and beat the bastards. better to give them a scare and maybe get a point or 3 than give them too much respect and return home with a big fat zero points. this is why phil brown was a breath of fresh air until half-time-rant-gate and his change from cavalier to effing useless chicken.

Must try and remember to read what I have written before pressing post button.

I don't share your blinkered bitterness against Bruce, but like you say his "Little Hull" defensive philosophy in the premier league didn't do us any favours. Personally I would like to see him working alongside a more positive manager if we go up.

I'm loving watching Leicester. They remind me of why I love(d?) football.
In spite of our lofty position, 90%+ of the time, I'm hating watching a Steve Bruce City. One of the major reasons why I'm slowing losing interest in football.

(* 'lofty' if you ignore the fact that we're now in the CCC not the PL thanks to the boring twat spunking the money and taking us down when we never should have been in danger)
