Yes, I know there's more from abroad but it's nothing like London. In London there's tourists pouring in every day.

Always talk to two or more girls. There's a better chance that at least one of them will like you.

You married a dog Peter? Surely that's illegal? Things were sure weird back in 1993. Anyhow congratulations.

I spoke to some young ladies last week.

    I asked 'Where you from?'

One of then answered 'I'm from Gateshead, she's from Birtley.'

    True story.

I was aware of that connotation when I wrote it but I couldn't be bothered to make it clearer.

They are more impressed if YOU tell them where they are from. That way they'll know how to get home.

Most places have their good and bad points.

    Apart from Stoke. Obviously.

It is fairly typical of people who live in London though to foolishly and narrowmindly think its the centre of the world and nothing else compares.

Its easy enough to get into London and enjoy all it has without having to live there. Cheaper too. Higher standard of living as well.

I can get to parts of London quicker than some mates who live there.

I was due to go to the first day of my job as a trainee at an international firm of chartered accountants - Whinney Murray, now Ernst & Young, and the night before I went to see John Otway at a pub and I had about eight pints of Fullers ESB. I was sick in bed - my girlfriend was very understanding - and I got to the meeting in the partners meeting room an hour late. Everybody was nice about it but I still felt terrible both physically and mentally.

    I'm a lung man, definitely.

I find that gills can chafe a bit.

    Especially with modern, man-made fabrics.

I used to live in Hull and I'd travel all over the country following City and I'd make the most of my visits to every place. I've been to other cities in Europe and after seeing the sights for one day the rest of the time I would hunt out the locals.
When I first came to London I went to an economics class and for some reason the lecturer started talking about geography of the UK. There were a lot of Londoners there who didn't have a clue about where anywhere was outside of London. They didn't have much idea of London either.
When I lived in Hull I socialised excessively but I would think that anybody who tried to say that Hull is better than London for a young person is weird at the very least.
What's so great about travelling quicker? In both Hull and London I've walked home and met some very nice girls on the way. It's much better than getting a taxi or a night bus.

Same here. Gills and a City scarf could be rather irritating I suspect.
