Tinted glasses off you have one hell of a player in Suarez.

Would be in my top 10 atm having watched him at Ajax and seeing glimpses of what he's done at Liverpool.

Always rated him, shame he plays for your lot <ok>

Okay so looking through this thread it seems that the general consensus is that Rooney and Hernandez are both average, being inferior to Liverpool's strikers and a lot of Liverpool fans consider Berbatov to be poor, despite him being joint top scorer last season.

United's midfield is also considered poor too.

So I've got a question for you all, if this is all true, why do United consistently win titles and trophies and get to the finals of major competitions with their average strikeforce and midfield?

If you're talking about KPR ignore that window licker.

Doesn't matter if rivals think we suck, we won the league and got to the CL final with a squad many rate as ****e.

All that matters is we continue to challenge <ok>

Over the past 20 years your midfield has been the main reason for your success. The likes of Keane, Beckham, Scholes, Giggs etc etc. The problem is that with Scholes retiring and Gigg's legs about to fall off, things aren't looking as bright. Surely anyone can see this? and not just a rivals view.

I still think you are very likely to sign a top midfielder, and i truly believe you badly need one. If you leave it up to Carrick, Anderson and Fletcher in the middle then i honestly see you struggling slightly. But like i said, i would be very surprised if you didn't sign anyone.

There are a number of reasons why you won the league.
Half the managers in the league are Ferguson rim lickers ie Beachball head,Sparkout,Gollum,Harry Taxdodge and Big Eck,Thank god Fat Sham is gone.
Anyone that doesn't bow in front of the Govan Gob gets abused.
The other reason is Howard Webb.

Almost half of Chicharito's appearances in the Premier League were as a sub (12 out of his 27 to be exact) which is why he had such a low minutes per goal ratio, if I remember correctly only Van Persie came anywhere near him last season in that respect.

Fergie has said no more signings? What do the Utd fans think the formation will be?

Thats mind games. He knows if he doesn't sign a new midfielder they will struggle next season.

I agree it seems mad not to sign a CM player.

Indeed, we could certainly do with one. Although we do have the best wingers in the premier league so could just play very wide, although we need some creativity through the middle.

Almost certainly will if we don't sign a creative midfielder, him and Giggs will have to be our 'CAM's. Giggs can play that position in fairness, he was fantastic against Chelsea in the champions league and premier league in our last few big games. I'd still prefer to sign one as Fletcher won't be fit for the start of the season and Anderson gets injured a lot.

Man Uniteds formation is going to be 4-5-2.Howard Webb will play just in behind Rooney and Hernandez, this is only at Old Trafford.
Howard Webb only plays at Old Trafford.

I've always thought of Rooney as more of a SS/AM than an actual forward. When you lot had Tevez, Rooney, and Ronaldo, no real out and out forward but 3 very dangerous players mixing it up, it was lethal.

If Utd don't sign a CM then Fergie must be thinking of Rooney playing as and Attacking MF IN A 4-5-1.
