Pretty much like that. You called out to the guy, he threw a bag of peanuts up to you and you passed the money down through the crowd. All the shells got dumped on the ground, so if there was a near capacity crowd - around 60,000 - the whole place was carpeted in peanut shells by full time
From spirited quotes by Toby, to discussing about the great atmosphere at the club and what Pochettino is doing, to tea ladies, to spitting out and replacing Rioja and then finally watching Matt Lucas sing about peanuts. This thread is a true success .
Just as well you out that comma between 'what Pochettino is doing' and ' to tea ladies' you had me thinking there was some red top sex scandal exclusive coming up!
Sorry Spurf can't let you get away with that usage. A rule can't be proved by a counter example. That disproves the rule! The phrase you used has its origin in law. Say you are reading a legal document and there is some ambiguity about whether a £100 charge is normally applied. If there is a clause that says "in exceptional circumstances the £100 charge may be waived" then that is evidence that the charge exists. So the exception proves the rule. I've never seen it used correctly! If anyone fancies more of my pedantic bollocks then I suggest someone uses the phrase Beg the Question which has a similar record of close to 100% incorrect usage....
Possibly the funniest moment on one of the funniest shows of all time. Stars tailed off towards the end but the material from its peak was bizarre humour at its finest. Here's another superb dance scene that still scars my memory
And the hair. Don't forget the hair. History is overrated. Today is real. Tomorrow is imaginary. Yesterday is over.
If you are suggesting Klopp will be more successful at Liverpool than M. Pochettino at Tottenham, then dazzle with your reasoning. You may have heard the saying "when life provides you with lemons, make lemonade?" Rather than trying to run a failing football club, Klopp could open a donkey sanctuary?
You implied you had found a winner in poch, i mearly asked what he had won to deserve such an accolade, surely the guy has to win something to be called a winner? or is this spud delusion in action here?
i have no idea what gave you that impression as i never even mentioned klopp? i just said how is poch a winner? whats he won?
Van Gaal has won titles in 3 countries. Perhaps you should have employed him? History, it's over isn't it? Still no response on the hair,or the lemons or the donkeys? So, what do you think about your American businessmen owners making a profit from their investment? Angry? Revolting?
Any progress on the St Valentine's Day Massacre yet? I'll give you a clue - it happened on St Valentine's Day and involved a massacre.
im afraid not, im busy searching poch&winner but nothings coming up? I mean if hes a real winner like you say there must be some evidence?
