Tendulkar will pick today to finally get a ton at Lord’s and get his name on the honours’ board whilst saving the 2000th Test for his team. The game will certainly then be remembered with Pietersen’s double ton and Prior’s ton but I suspect England would rather it be remembered for them winning it than for some personal milestones.
It is sad that one of the greatest batsmen in the history of the game, Sachin Tendulkar, will finish his career without getting a century at Lord’s. If England cannot wrap this up now they do not deserve to even be in consideration for the number one ranking. With more than fifty overs left in the game it will be a huge disappointment if they cannot claim the remaining five wickets.
Might help if they start holding these catches... and if these plumb LBW decisions stop getting turned down without DRS...
Just like Dravid in the first game, Raina is giving strike to a poor batsman halfway through the over, and the tail-ender hasn't lasted.
