Phew, was worried for a minute we'd actually only signed one defender in five years. That must've just been a bad dream.
It was midfielders and strikers we needed. Pah, who needs a defence. We haven't had one for 5 years, and look how we've done.
Guess it's Tiote in central defence then, either via a re-injured Saylor or right away. What a farce.
When those two injuries came on Wednesday, McClaren must have been thinking "A left back and centre half eh, well I've got just the...damn you Charnley!" Steven Taylor will probably come in play a couple of stormers, people will get a little excited about him, then he'll either get sent off, injured, drop a clanger or all 3.
First of all, he'll save a goal from going in with his hands, clutching his face, get sent off. Then rumours of Saylor to Arsenal will surface.
Put a bet on a red card for Taylor. He will be all worked up to play, recklessly hurl himself into a tackle as usual, and get sent off, as usual, picking up an injury in the process, as usual, and we will get beat, as usual,,
'From now on we will make our own luck' Yeah, we are going to need a lot of luck to get out of this one!
Saivet is 5'7''. He ain't no centre half. Maybe he could play right back, just like Colback could play left back.
Is that what he said? Idiot. You dont make luck in Premier League, you work hard, train hard, run till you cant anymore and then run some more, you try 100% the WHOLE game and try play to your full potential all the time, not when it suits you!!
Both wrong. All you need is more points or at least the same but with better GD than 3 other teams. No luck necessarily and not necessarily 100% effort etc. Just have to finish at least fourth bottom and it doesn't really matter how you get there.
Sounds like a bit of a Steve McClaren quote. Does this mean that other teams are lucky against us because our strikers miss chances... Although even hitting the woodwork seems to be a bit beyond Mitrovic just now.
