After another last gasp win vs bogey side Reading, ( 7 defeats in 8 prior to last night, we've kept our ridiculous Tuesday run at Portman Road going. 16 wins in 16 on a Tuesday, can we move all our games to a Tuesday please!? Interestingly enough our next two vs Hull and Blackburn ( actually rearranged due to fa cup ) are both on a Tuesday so that's spot on. Next up this Saturday is a trip to Loftus Road - a ground I STILL won't have been to, due to work in the AM. Grrr. I am however at both the Bristol games a week sat and will be making my Huddersfield bow due to Sheffeld gf and a weekend up there. I digress. Anyway, thoughts on this weekends game? Brum host Wendy so that's a bonus. Sidenote - look at Derby walking away with the league now they've spent over £25 mill + wages. OH. Be careful what you wish for!
I can see us losing this one, but only just. I can see a reversal of our usual fortunes, going 1-0 up early, but QPR coming back 2nd half to snatch a victory late on. Fortunately they've lost Austin and Fer, but I have sneaking suspicion they'll do us. Smith or Berra to get our goal.
Gah, I'm really not sure about this one, I wouldn't be surprised at a win, draw, or a loss. Should we consider QPR as one of the big sides in this division? They're stuck in mid-table and don't look like they'll be troubling the play-offs, for this season at least. Yes, they have some quality, however, they're clearly in a transitional stage. We're very much a settled, and largely consistent side, which should work in our favour here. It's worth mentioning that QPR are unbeaten in their last four, yet three of those were draws! I thought Hasselbaink did a great job at Burton and he should be given time to implement his ideas at Loftus Road. In fact, I wouldn't have minded Hasselbaink in charge here, had he stayed at Burton for a bit longer. He seems like a progressive, intelligent coach. Anyway, 1-1 this one. Again, I'll back Sears to get back among the goals.
Eight of us going welly and Belushis seems to be the away fans bar for food and drink, I think weve sold our allocation and theres a limited number of tickets left for the Bristol City match so it should be a couple of good days out, win, lose ,or draw its always great fun in the Town end these days.
Our allocation sold out pretty quickly, I think it only made general sale for a couple of days, I'll be in the lower tier, there's about 20-25 of us meeting up near Kings Cross about 10am and going on to Shepherds Bush, our support will be massive, this is gonna be a good one!
we are in the upper tier welly and 2 of our Swedish friends who are rabid Town fans are coming as well, as you say it should be a good day lets hope we can get the 3 points.
No one has drawn more games in the league than them this season.. We always make matches tight and always stay in the match. This has draw written all over it. Whoever scores first (if anyone does) won't lose.
That's no guarantee with us pal. We have gifted 22 points from winning positions thus far this season. Work out where we could be if we could hold a lead!
