I'm pretty sure Blampey's disappearance has nothing to do with the name he was using, nor did he get banged up at the Lokeren game, he was on here browsing after that game.
He is still in attendance at home and many away games. He disappeared from the C.i board as well. Like him or loathe him the CI board has declined in numbers and posts since his departure. Coincedence?
Mr Blampey threw the towel in on this and CI because of the amount of negative flak he and the club were receiving. Also I believe some of the posts about him became personal and intrusive.
****ing hell, CI really has gone down the ****ter. That's 15 mins of my life I'll never see again. I see why you have a dislike of the N5_Dim_Cunt too Lambo. You sure he aint Aggron?
He has had various reincarnations, in fact a lot of them. Starting with his supposed driving school persona, Lunchbox. Tends to give himself away by being equally dense under all guises and for his total crapness at forecasting the result of football matches despite often assertion how he terrifies the bookies and makes loads of money.
He's not nearly bright enough. He sometimes predicts our away attendances at about 500 less than the amount of tickets City have already announced they've sold.
Lunchy has had some funny moments. He peaked when he was talking to a poster called something like "Akram" who lunchy assumed was Asian. His reaction when it was pointed out that AK was a Ram from Derby was funny. Most of what he posts is a wind up, but sadly some take it all a bit seriously. There's not half as much humour on the boards these days as there was back then. I guess, the boards are mirroring football and society, where the people following it now are more sensitive and take themselves far too seriously.
There's pretty much no moderation on CI and it's dead, there's a limited amount on here and it's busy, go figure.
Most was indeed a wind up. As was much of EGD Wright's stuff. It could be fun pointing out Lunchbox's inanities for a while but most people didn't have the time. His postings on driving and where to find food bargains were entertaining. I think the decline of CI is down to a lot of the older fans who posted walking away as they were disillusioned with things going on at the club, the experience of encountering the reality of life at the top they had so long dreamt of and the new breed of fans it attracts and a disillusionment with football in general. Whether they are right or wrong is no doubt going to attract differing opinions. We could both list a large number of prolific posters who contributed some good stuff who have disappeared. BTW, what happened to Billyis God? Couldn't he cope with Leeds playing second fiddle to .Hull? Did he realise .Beverley wasn't a suburb of Leeds? ( I do love pointing out to fans of TWS that my 9 year old grandson has never known a time when we were not higher than Leeds and Yorkshire's top club).
I agree with the main bits. As far as I know, Billy isGod is still involved, but in a more back room role, but is very active with Leeds ladies. Fnaar fnaar. I know it doesn't sit well, but apart from the obvious flaw, he is a decent bloke.
So you're saying moderation is entirely related to whether a board is busy or not? Talk about inflated sense of self importance...
Do you have to practice a lot to get to the level of miserable **** you've achieved, or were you born that way?
Yes, you could have a good disagreement with Billy without it degenerating into too nasty a thing. I remember on the day Adam Pearson took us over that he made his first appearance on the forum telling us we may not have heard of him but what a great job he had done behind the scenes at Leeds and if we stuck with him he would take us to levels we would be amazed at. He got that right. Didn't you once zoom off for a face to face in the pub with him following an exchange of views on the forum?
Obviously not, but I am saying that a lot of people are put off a forum full of stuff about 'curly slipper ragheads' and the like. From the bloke who claims he can end someone's career with a single phone call, that's hilarious.
