There was a Rickie Lambert rumour going around last summer if I remember correctly. I've always admired him - the fact he played for the Gas is irrelevant for me - someone (CJS I think - where is he these days?) posted a comparison vote between him and Maynard when NM was still with us, and Maynard won - I voted for Lambert.
I hear what you are saying Supcon, but look at the chances our strikers have had. Look at the efforts on target stats. They ARE getting the chances - they aren't putting them away.
I'd be the proverbial 'over the moon' if Ricky Lambert came here, even on loan. Unfortunately I think it's just one of those silly rumours, like Michael Owen a few seasons back.
