For those of us who do not get to see the improvements at the Vic this is quite interesting.

That's going to take a lot of maintenance as we improve the squad over the coming months and years! They will need space for Mario, Costel, Abdoulaye, Adalberto & Nordin for a start and how do they peel off the players that leave the club?

They haven't read the smallprint in their contracts

Spending an afternoon scraping off stickers would put most players off moving clubs.

It is how they tell players that they are no longer wanted. As they move down the pecking list their picture moves towards the door. When their picture disappears they know they have to look for a new club.

3rd February 1969 is a day I will never forget, or be allowed to forget. I had a ticket for the FA Cup replay against Man Utd. At 4.00 pm I dropped my wife off at Harlow hospital as she had gone into labour. "You need not come back until tomorrow as nothing will happen until then" I was told. Armed with that information I headed to Watford to join 34,000 other fans on a very cold night. We lost, but as I started to head back it started to snow, and by the time I reached Hemel it was blizzard conditions. What should have been an hour's journey turned into three, but I headed to the hospital to see how things were going. It was all locked up and I couldn't find anyway into the building. So I went home to bed and the next morning the car had disappeared beneath the snow. Out with the wellies and a couple of mile walk to the hospital where I found my wife and new baby daughter. Tomorrow I will spend a little time with that daughter, and I hope it is not on the back of a 0-2 loss.

Thanks Mex, I will. Back in those days they had just built it, but didn't have any money to fully staff it.

Funnily enough, Frenchie, I was sent home in December 1970 and told my first daughter wasn't going to appear for hours. At 6 the next morning they rang to say she had just arrived and I rushed outside to find several inches of snow. I ended up walking to the maternity hospital...unforgettable for so many reasons!

They certainly did us a huge favour! :)

Good morning all from a wet and windy Weston-super-Mare. Well done for preventing Chelski from scoring, a well-earned point!

    Have a good day! <ok>

It looks as if I will be in Turkey for the week beginning 23rd May. I have just checked and the cup final is on Saturday 21st May. Now the question is, should I book my flight to Turkey via London and come a couple of days early?

They probably think that if you don't cook them well enough you can get food poisoning. And turkeys were introduced to nice white people (the sort that burnt women) by those heathen red people.
