Don't think they have decided what they want to do yet. I suspect they are waiting to see the results against Charlton and MKD. If we win both the pressure is off and they can wait until the summer. If it goes badly they will have no choice but to get someone in as a last hope of staying up. If so this is shambolic mismanagement - but hey no big surprise. This club has been poorly steered from the top for years with no sign of any change on the horizon.
The way I read it its out of two people, possibly one other may be considered but then I read it with an open mind
Charlton (a) and then Ipswich (h) are both big games before we go to MK Dons. We then host Brighton and go to Forest and that's February done. After that, there are just 12 games left. It will then be too late to appoint someone and expect them to work a miracle. We've not won back to back games this season so we'll do well to buck that trend given the quality of the opposition.
No Red Robin. Frustration, underachievement and misery come to those who wait - I should know - I've waited long enough. I am 49 and I was in primary school when we were last in the top flight.
I'm three years older,it has been a long time,i hope after this long wait the man i was told they want will be crowned manager of BCFC. That man should be Nigel Pearson done it at league 1,championship,and premiership. His team sit very proud at the top of the prem. If SL is serious this has to be the man for the job.
Well his initial hint was clearly Nigel Pearson who's now out at 33/1 so it's pretty incredible if he does.
The time is now for action, it's not thinking about doing it next week, or when the stars align, it's taking positive action now. Why do we have such a difficult time of grabbing it by the balls?
Apparently they've decided but they are not telling us........YET........bumbling again... http://the72.co.uk/47143/next-bristol-city-head-coach-identified/
You cynic wiz! If it's Lee Johnson I think there will be a lot of backlash and I wouldn't wish that on a nice guy. He deserves better and so do we.
Babber Johnson is busily engaged on other projects with Barnsley.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35426017
Johnstones Paint Trophy? I think he would be foolish to even consider becoming manager of Bristol City, but the words that we are looking for more of a coach rather than an old style manager puts fear in my heart (Ashton?).
I'd have no issue with Little Lee becoming our Manager at some point in the future, although I know that others on here will not be nearly as keen. At Oldham his team played attractive possession football and we were a little fortunate to beat them 1-0 at the Gate last year. At Barnsley this season they had a dreadful start, but he's turned it around and they would be a good bet for the Play Offs as they are steadily climbing the L1 table. And he's got them to Wembley in the JPT. All in all not bad. Not bad at all.
What a choice our star line up appears to be, Tim Sherwood, failed at Villa, Lee 'Babbers' Johnson, struggled in league 1 with Oldham & Barnsley, Gary Monk, turned us down as a player and minimal success with Swansea, Stuart Pearce, failed, Warnock an old goat, Southgate, Moyes and Pearson who don't want to know and then of course there is Pemberton. An absolute inspiration..
Any manager who comes to us would have been a failure or struggled at one club or another, even Mourinho for instance. Who do you suggest then Wiz that wouldn't have been seen as a failure at some point in his career?
We all have opinions and you are welcome to yours, mine was based on the group and the way they don't inspire me, by the way I have stated before I would give Tim Sherwood the job as an individual hands down but just my own opinion.
