"What can I do to prove that we're entertaining? I'll drag out that 0-0!" <laugh>

Sat back, frustrated City who missed plenty of chances and had a few decent breaks.
More evidence that supports exactly what I've been saying all along.
You're not getting this, are you?

  2. Personally, I don't find Leicester's chip-and-rush style of football entertaining, but then again, I don't find basketball entertaining.

Each to his own, I say.

... we've come on a lot since the first game against them and they have lost some key players to injury ... but it's still one hell of a big ask for us to go there and get something (as it will also be against Citeh on Saturday) ... but I have to say, they seem to be getting better and better as the season goes on and the performances are still surprising even Leicester fans ... they seem to be fearless or, at least, going into games with little respect for the 'established hierarchy' ... whatever the outcome we will 'have a go' and that's just about all you can ask for ... we have some terrific individuals but an even better team and at times the quality of the football is beyond anything even the oldest of us have ever witnessed from a Leicester City side ... personally I'd pay the entrance money to watch Riyad Mahrez alone ... I honestly do believe (without a hint of wummery which is difficult for me <whisstle>) that he is currently the most talented individual in the EPL ...

.. if you have a spare moment just take a look at the link ... all from THIS season .. .

... and one of yours is adamant that we are not 'entertaining' <laugh> ... it's this type of skill / player that first drew me to the beautiful game ... and for me this is footballing entertainment at it's purest ...

I said exactly that when we played you. In the second half we gave you a bit of a doing for a while but you didn't flinch.

Agree on the expectation front - on our forum most of us are still saying we need 7 more points for sfatey and then we can relax <laugh>

<laugh> it was you Polly who said "Can you actually find a single source to back up your nonsense?" ... I gave you more ... and if you want to see real footballing entertainment perhaps take a look at the Mahrez video above ... then perhaps come back and tell why you think Spurs are more entertaining than Leicester this season from an informed perspective rather than just being a poor loser... sometimes you just have to learn to live with having been beaten Polly ... you only took 1 point from us this season; stop letting it rankle and move on, there is always next season ... we'll drop points too no doubt ...

You've quoted a BBC source saying that the game was entertaining. It didn't say that Leicester were.
You sat back and tried to nullify an actual entertaining team. That doesn't make you entertaining, does it?

As for Mahrez, can you find any criticism of him in anything that I've said? Can you find any criticism of Leicester, for that matter?
He's a very talented player. He can be very entertaining. It'd be nice to see him getting on the ball a little more often.
I will say one thing against him, though. He dives a lot. I'd like him more if he cut that out.

I love this ultra-defensive reaction to criticism, though. It mimics your team's tactics.

So, the mousers are more deluded are they? Here's a quick comparison.
In the last quarter of a century THFC have won the league cup once and qualified for the CL once,
in the last decade Liverpool have won the FA cup, the CL and been runners up in both the CL and the EPL.

That's hard,y the point. They expect to win the league pretty much every year. No Spurs fan I know, and I know a lot, expect anything. So where this deluded tag supposedly comes from, I've no idea.

  10. All true, Ern. However, no one is claiming the Mousers are deluded in respect of 'Pool's history.

The delusion comes from their refusal to accept that those glory days are well and truly over. It springs from their refusal to accept that 'Pool is no longer a major force in European football, that LFC is a bang average mid-table side.

...priceless pedantry <laugh> .. begrudging jealousy epitomised ... to save some time perhaps you could define your concept of footballing 'entertainment' because i confess that I have no idea what it might entail ... unless perhaps "Spurs must win or Polly be sad and not entertained" ... obviously you are still suffering from severe ring smarting from us inflicting a defeat on you <laugh>... grow up ... you must be the most disingenuous poster on these boards ... she who laughs last is usually Polly <laugh>

  12. Ern is one of those bitter fans who does not like the fact that Spurs have been improving for several seasons, effectively making 5th spot our own, and using it as a base from which to push on and to challenge for greater things. He confuses our recognition of what we have achieved with us being "deluded," when all he is actually doing is giving vent to his own bitterness that these things are actually happening.

Could you please stop having tantrums because people accurately describe your team's tactics? It's rather embarrassing.

Floyd Mayweather's fought a lot of boring fights in his last few years. They've distinctly lacked entertainment value.
Is that a criticism of his ability?

  14. Fossil, I think it is rather arrogant for you to assume that Leicester are topping the league as a result of playing tika-taka football. You're not, mate. The fact that that seems to grate on you is irrelevant.

No one is denigrating what Leicester have achieved, and may yet go on to achieve; but let's not pretend that LCFC has been transformed into a new Barca!

It's the classic strawman NSIS - it's like when some Scots, Welsh and and Irish say "every England fan thought they'd win the World cup or Euros" - it's complete bollocks. I didn't think I'd really mind who won the league this year but I must admit I'm starting to favour you lot as it's clearly going to induce meltdowns of epic proportions all over london and Merseyside.

Cheers, Dan. I don't think it will happen. But to even be there, in with a shout, is a major step forward for us.

As its now 2016, the 2005 CL win is no longer within the last decade, but they did also win the league cup in 2012 . In those 10 seasons their average league finish is 5th which is the same ours, and we have both played in Europe in 8 out of those 10 seasons, so the 10 year record of the 2 sides is almost indentical

Oh and in 25 years we have won the FA cup (1991) and 2 league cups (1999 & 2008)

....if you class indulgently smiling at the sulky strop of a grown man (assumption) whose parents weren't able to demonstrate how to deal with losing as 'tantrum' - then spot on ... probably as accurate as your definition of 'entertainment' will be... if it ever comes ... <laugh> ... I can, however, feel some pity for you Polly ... spending so long in Arsenal's shadow as a Spud has obviously made you a very bitter, small minded and insular individual ... begrudging of anyone else having any fun or any modicum of success ...

Just for the record Polly ... who do Spurs have at White Hart Lane who is a more entertaining footballer than Riyad Mahrez? ...

    Yeah, that's not a strop! <laugh>
Leicester are entertaining and Arsenal are better than you, so there!

Is there any point in me answering your question? You're not going to agree, are you?
Mahrez is a good player. He's very skillful. It's a shame that he plays most of the game defending, though.
