I just think we need to mix it up a bit! 2 proper strikers from the start!

Barton has said a few things about City being the team to watch this season.
I reckon he will be right up for this one and his temper could be a weakness Bruce might try to exploit.
An early booking for Barton could have big effect on the game.

Yes he is. Hence why I would bring him in for Diame. It hardly makes us defensive either.

Snodgrass and Clucas would be in support of Hernandez. So when we have the ball it would be 3 up top.

Why on earth change the line-up then based on the last 6 games. If Dawson was not fit then we would not be having this discussion. For sure both Maguire and Davies MUST start.

Agreed. Leicester have been good enough (that's all) for taking advantage of the big teams who have had a bad season. No way should Vardy have scored "that goal" against Liverpool. Mignolet was at fault being too far out of his goal. The great skill (imo) was the pass to Vardy from Mahrez.

Why on earth change the line-up then based on the last 6 games. If Dawson was not fit then we would not be having this discussion. For sure both Maguire and Davies MUST start.

It makes no sense to change a winning formation, so it must remain 4 at the back. Dawson is by far the best defender and is fit, so we both agree he must start. In my view, Davies is better than Maguire so Maguire should be dropped. If Davies is dropped and Maguire plays alongside Dawson then I can live with that - but I most certainly do not agree with changing the winning formation and going to 3 at the back.

Though I think Dawson for Maguire/Davies is likely to be the only change, you can make a decent case for going three at the back, not only does it get Dawson back in without dropping a centre back who doesn't really deserve to be dropped, but it also allows for two up top so Hernandez could be partnered with a Akpom, he did score a hat-trick last weekend after all.

Success is based on a solid defence. That being the case then Dawson - Davies and Maguire must start.

With Robbo coming back fresh then maybe Clucas will make way for Akpom.

The 2 new lads (imho) will need to bide there time and wait for a chance. For sure the fixture list says it will come and soon especially for Powell.

Dyche will be working on playing against one up front! Even though we've done well we've also had some luck! Sometimes it doesn't hurt to Spring a surprise for the odd game!

You can make a decent case for several players to come in - Elmo/Snodgrass, Meyler/Hayden/Huddlestone, Akpom/Aluko/Diame, Bruce/Dawson/Maguire/Davies, - but I still maintain that it would be stupid to change a winning format. The strength in depth of our squad is going to be needed in the next 11 games in 42 days but for Saturday's game the fewer changes the better.

There's no case for starting quite a few of those, Elmo, Huddlestone and Aluko for instance. A win against Bury hardly tells us who to start in this upcoming game.

Well he is driving me from there to the game and paying for lunch in the lounge, so I think I might have to buy a round.

This is the team that beat them here.
    Mcgregor
    Odubajo Maguire Davies Robbo
    Elmo Meyler Livermore Clucas
    Diame
    Hernandez

Amazingly he took Hernandez off on 84 and put Snoddy on and we didnt concede. Weird.

Diame has to play. He kept dropping back and snuffing out Barton. Crucial that.

I reckon he'll go with Snoddy rather than Elmo. I sort of hope he keeps Dawson out for another week.

Wrong! Success is built on goals. You can't win without scoring!

I can see Brucey going straight to a 3-5-2 now he has all of his centre backs fit

I think it's a good formation against a team that will desperately want to beat us

Catch 'em on the break I say

I don't think Bruce has been in a position all season really to go 3 at the back which proved successful for us in the Premiership and caught many teams off guard. Young Bruce who could have been the one alongside Dawson and Davies has been perpetually injured and SB never had any real trust in Harry and that trust has been borne out of having his hand forced with injuries to Davies, Dawson and YB. I actually think that a 2.3.5 formation would work really well with our pace and penchant for getting our wide men as far forward as possible. If Burnley just play Voakes up top with Gray just behind difficult to know whether to stick or twist. I do know that if we get at them they're far form solid at the back and our pace should cause them problems.
