At last. Someone who knows what they're talking about. We've debated Rooney to death on here, but it is staggering that some people don't rate him. He's broken the England goal scoring record and will break the Manchester utd scoring record He's one of the best players I've ever watched at Loftus Rd.
Well for overrated (not saying either isn't a very good player) John Stones and Ross Barkley. Stones makes a lot of mistakes, not saying he won't improve but the way the media especially bang on about him as though he is already about the best defender in the world. Barkley again quality player but totally over hyped, can be very inconsistent and because he shows flashes of brilliance he seems to be touted above what he has proven so far. I will say again I'm not saying either isn't a good player or that either doesn't have the ability to become top class for years to come, however I just think they are overrated on what they have shown so far
Along with Steven Gerrard, players you don't know how good they actually are before you see them live. And when I wathced Steven Gerrard live for the first time he wasn't even in his prime, but he left a huge impression, he totally ran the game.
Ross McCormack, Jordan Rhodes. I can't see how players who've never played in the premier league can be worth more than £10mil. In terms of the PL itself, 100% Jordan Henderson. I think he's terrible.
Totally. Gerrard in his prime was quicker and a much much better passer of the ball. He was strong in the tackle, good in the air and had a great engine. He was just as competitive as Keane and influenced games just as much. A far more pleasing player on the eye too. Keane was better at trying to end fellow professionals' careers by breaking their legs though.
Don't see it myself. I would have the exact opposite view. Might start up a thread. I don't even think Gerard should be spoken of in the same breath.
If I may, I think Gerrard was the best ever premiership era player, Keane was a ****, good but a **** and still is
