Houblon doesn't jump well enough, the latter of your four is very interesting. I wonder what the weights will look like. After all old boy, its the weights that make the race.

The Somerset National winner is entered and might be interesting off a feather-weight. Three of the last 4 were won by 11-year-olds <ok>

Indeed it is. But aren’t the weights these days very closely aligned to the official ratings rather than the old boy GN handicapper going all renegade and making up his own list.

I see Stick’s pal Chas Longsdon has put in Pendra. Ultimately though his inclusion will depend upon how that J.P. chap (or his management) decides to play his cards.

Here's my Lucky 15 for the day:

Caitys Joy at 1.80 in the 13:40 at Towcester
Ancient Cross at 6.00 in the 13:50 at Southwell
Flashjack at 2.88 in the 14:40 at Towcester
Art Scholar at 7.00 in the 14:50 at Southwell

I'm changing tack a bit with 2 short pricers, going for at least a small win (although £15 wins £592.38 if they all come home).

All the permutations are here: http://freebetcalc.com/odds-calculator/lucky-15-calculator?prefill=1.80,6.00,2.88,7.00

    GL all!

Taking a chance on Ceann Sibheal, 1.10 @ Towcester
Over at Clonmel, I'll try Kashmiri Sunset, 1.25.

If I've any joy there, I'll be back later. Danish Duke @Southwell, perhaps?

Depends on whether he compresses the top of the handicap.

As Nass says the sight of PENDRA in the National leapt off the page at me. Not sure about his credentials to see that trip out and Charlie boy has a worse record in the National than he does at the Festival. Other than that I only looked to check that LE REVE was included.

Stick, yesterday in 'The Weekender’ there was a Chas Longsdon Stable Tour. Very good read. Noel Fehily has apparently all but told him that Our Kaempfer only needs to turn up at the Festival and he’ll win either the Coral Cup or Pertemps Final. Sounds quite an assertion. However, Fehily is adamant that he must not, I say must not, run between now and Cheltenham.

Kings combe goes on the sand again they are dropping in trip rather than stepping up, either way the horse has a fine chance 7/1

Fuel Injection in the first might also be overpriced at 10/1

They said similar about PENDRA two years ago. Charlies score at the festival is.............? His brother in law (Pauling) has a much greater chance of bagging a Festival winner than Charlie boy.

Elliot stable has had only three winners in the last 30 odd runners but I think Westend Star should oblige in 2.25 at 9/4

Talking of Pauling, his horse Space Walker looks good to me in the next at Wincanton.

Seem to remember backing Dolores Delightful just over a year go when she won at this same track (must have been my last winner) so will have a small punt on her again in the next at Wincanton (3:05). Nice name for a mare too.

Anyone know whether you can make a complaint if an in-play company such as Betfair have got the wrong colours listed on their horses?

I had a small in-play bet earlier on their exchange in the 2.25 Clonmel, won by Arkwrisht. He was one of 3 Gigginstown runners , and he wore the blue cap in the race to differentiate. In play, I noticed the one with the blue cap travelling nicely so placed a bet on it.

Only to find that the horse they listed with the blue cap was STONE HARD, who tailed off, but was actually wearing the first choice Gigginstown colours in the race.

So cheesed off with such a basic failing of listing the correct colours.

That Nicholls horse must end up in a Cheltenham handicap I think based on that win. Very nice.
