    Put it this way chaps.

If our takeover goes through shortly and our new owners put in the level of investment that FSG have, together with sorting out our stadium and making massive improvements in our sponsorship revenues......I'd be absolutely delighted.

What the OP really means is that he wants someone to chuck shed loads of cash at it until you start winning things again, without a care as to where it comes from and what their supposed motivation for doing so would be.

What some kopites fail to appreciate is that you've been spending like a CL club for the best part of a decade, without having the revenue that competition brings for the best part of it. It sent your previous owners bust, and this lot must be wondering what the **** they got involved for.

You have no divine right to be at the top table of English and European football, you're in the doldrums and it's going to take more than a season or 2 to sort it out. You've got a quality manager, but he's not a miracle worker. He's got plenty to learn about this league yet, and it's going to take him time to build a side that's good enough to challenge again. He may not ultimately achieve that goal either, but you just need to settle down and accept that it is what it is.

Well I'd say FSG have been chucking shed load of cash at it already, I mean £32m for Benteke and £35m for Carroll. I don't think that's what most of us have an issue with.
I'm more concerned with the people in charge of chucking the cash around and that would be the infamous Transfer Committee. If there is one thing that needs to go its the transfer Committee.

Our current team is a Camel when its supposed to be a race horse.

    very reasonable.

there is no substitute for hard work. klopp says stay cool...

Spurs are the best example of what should be done. they've changed managers but have in general bought well (aside form it going to their heads after bale) and built up over time and held consistent position

The other point is LFC were run into ground 5 years ago. We've got to build better... the point is FSG have ****ed that up by not following their own initial strategy with proper expert football men and actually buying quality young players... as we've scatter gunned it

Theyve bought well - Alderweirald was a shrewd signing and they persisted with Lamela. Don't forget about Alli.

Exactly..they thought that not only could they teach us yokels business (tbf they hace excelled on that side considering), they thought they could show us the proper path football wise...they thought our (league in general) dealings were crazy and that their way would change the game....with an over reliance on FFP actually working...they rhought it was going to regulate like yank sports and misjudged that UEFA is not running things for the betterment of the game.

Stop putting yanks who have watched a few games of soccer in powerful positions regarding transfers....stick to generating the cash...telling the football brains how much they have got to spend and let them get bloody on with it!

Not sure why there is a lot of hate towards Edwards.

Some are assuming he's not a football man - he's worked at a couple of other football clubs prior to Liverpool I believe. And yes he - he uses stats, most top clubs have analysts. City have 14.

Him, Hunter and Fallows are in charge of finding players through a combination of statistical analysis and good ol fashioned scouting. The yanks are there to do deal with negotiations and business end of things.

That story about Rodgers inviting Klopp to his house for a chat as soon as he got the job is classy.

In regards to what I would like - is a competitive quality team.

We do not have that currently and you can blame who you want but ultimately it is their strategy than people are trying to implement.

They employed the people who keep failing - and they're still there.

I agree on Ayre. He's the CEO and he's overseen a period when you've been haemoraging cash. Ultimately it was his signature on the cheques, so he should have gone as well as Gnashers.

    We're winning 2-0 btw :)

    Not really.

The problem is our recruitment policy and the people doing the recruiting have been abysmal. Leicester got 2 special players for a pittance. Like having them free. Would LFC have got them for these prices?

The reality is that a club like LFC just as the Manchester clubs Chelsea Arsenal have to spend big to get special players. As soon as an enquiry is made the selling club start thinking tens of millions as a starting point.
