Must be thinking that pace will do better against the Everton back line than power!

To be fair Gini is pretty damn good in the air so if Townsend get off to a flier it may pay dividends. If we getting beat we can always throw on Doumbia and Mitro at the end and hope for blind luck!! :emoticon-0176-smoke:emoticon-0176-smoke:emoticon-0176-smoke Off to get high now..

Wouldn't be surprised to see both Mitro and Doumbia make an appearance tonight. I'm thinking that formation is more of a 4-6-0 than a 4-5-1, so we could well see different players on the end of each move. Like LiamO said, Wiji is good in the air and add to that Perez can be good in the air on his day too - if today is one of those days!

Hard to predict this one, I'm glad Baines isn't playing and hoping our smaller, pacy forwards pull their defence all over the place.

I cant believe that you can actually win anything by trading out before the game starts. Sort of defeats the point if betting in the first place.

Anyone expecting Townsend to be a supplier of crosses is going to be sadly disappointed. He is more of a cut inside and shoot type winger. Think Aarons is more of your classic winger style.
Looking forward to seeing how Townsend will play but will have to wait till Saturday as am about to get on a plane. Last time I was stuck in Port Moresby airport and Newcastle were playing we got a draw at Crystal Palace so expecting a similar result.

I would take a draw at this stage. Important to just keep picking up points.

A quick heads up - this is my only source of the game as the internet here is too slow for streaming and I hate the BBC live so please note phrases like shxt, what is he doing etc are not very useful. Here we go again, or I told you so from CC are much more useful as I will know we have conceeded. So please keep your comments informative and concise. Cheers.

But he is not a target man - that's Mitrovic! Reminds me of long balls to Owen and Martins!
