ive heard a lot that the winner of the Europa league gets a champions league place next season. This is already the case with the champions league as we know from Chelsea and Spurs a few years back. So how would this scenario work The table finishes as it is (or at least the top 4 still in the top four in whatever order) and Chelsea somehow win the champions league. Man U or Liverpool win the Europa league. Does this mean both get a champions league place and only the top 2 qualify automatically? If so, let's hope they get far enough to tire and lose in say the semis
If the table finishes exactly as it is, then i wouldn't give a monkeys I guess that in that situation it will only be the top 2 qualify, but come on, Chelsea to win the champions league, thats even more far fetched than us winning the prem
Top 3 in & 4th goes to the play off. I really don't know how your senario pans out tbh. We can't have 6 in the CL can we.
Didn't we lose a place due to England being so ****? - I think we have only 4 Champions League spaces and 3 Europa League from the cups and 5th place.
It was just a thought that crossed my mind. I think we have 4 still atm and it could be realistic that one will win the Europa league but yeah, Chelsea won't win
A maximum of five teams can now qualify from one country, so if both Chelsea and Liverpool won spots through the European tournaments, they'd get CL spots alongside the top three in the PL. If one of those things were to happen, the top four would all keep their CL spots. So in all likelihood, if you finish top four, you will be competing in CL next year. Do it.
